Socialized Medicine, Obamacare, Obama and Democrats View of Life and Government – Bart Stupak

by the Left Coast Rebel

This one is simple folks. Pro-life Democrat and former ‘no’ vote on Obamacare, Michigan Representative Bart Stupak (R-MI) just summed up the progressive agenda, the progressive Democrat leadership and Barack Hussein Obama. Robert Costa of National Review Online talked to Stupak yesterday about his key vote (to strike abortion funding out of health care ‘reform’) and his band of 12 Democrats that feel the same. Listen to this:

….Stupak notes that his negotiations with House Democratic leaders in recent days have been revealing. “I really believe that the Democratic leadership is simply unwilling to change its stance,” he says. “Their position says that women, especially those without means available, should have their abortions covered.” The arguments they have made to him in recent deliberations, he adds, “are a pretty sad commentary on the state of the Democratic party.”

What are Democratic leaders saying? “If you pass the Stupak amendment, more children will be born, and therefore it will cost us millions more. That’s one of the arguments I’ve been hearing,” Stupak says. “Money is their hang-up. Is this how we now value life in America? If money is the issue — come on, we can find room in the budget. This is life we’re talking about.”

So essentially a life, unborn or not to these ‘progressive’ fascists is a ‘cost’ to be avoided. When will you, a loved one, or a grandparent be viewed the same? Frankly when will any of us be viewed as a ‘cost’?

Transformative hope and change. Obama and Pelosi ignore the costs of socialism unless human lives can be jettisoned. I think I just summed up the entire progressive ‘health care reform’ agenda. These people are sick and evil – all the way to the top.

UPDATED: Via reader Keyboard Jockey, Michelle Malkin has a graphic of the Pelosi/Slaughter butchery being done to our health care system (remember, aborted babies save money) and the Constitution:

Malkin reminds readers that March 16 is The People’s Surge Against the Health Care Cramdown to be held in Washington DC. Please petition the list of Blue Dog Dems that Malkin has up if you live in their district!

Also check out the ludicrous spin from NCROnline that ‘pro-lifers’ are ‘urging Congress to pass Senate Health Care Bill’. Discussion via. Memeorandum. Robert Stacy McCain points out some salacious facts on these so-called theologians and evangelical leaders. Jim Hoft at Gateway has even more. Shameless.

  2. in other words, once a person is considered a piece of property, it remains a piece of property. that appears to be the essence of what it amounts to by the liberal ideology. seems like he is just affirming what i was saying in my latest post too.

  3. I saw this at HA, and it reminded me of this:

When ABC’s George Stephanopolous asked Pelosi to explain how birth control helps the economy, here’s what the speaker said: “The family planning services reduce cost. They reduce cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now, and part of what we do for children’s health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those — one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government.”

Video of Neil Cavuto talking about this last January:

So…it sure seems as though the Dems are thinking in terms of controlling population, whether it by contraception or abortion, as a way to save states/federal money.

  5. Health care is about federal jobs. They're going to hire 100,000s of administrators. They are going to spend 100s of billions on care no one needs. Now,they're tying in student loans. They've taken over the private loans with bills they're renewing now. Soon, you'll just have to do that government service to get out of those federal loans. It's all about federal jobs.
