Senate Health Care Bill Saturday Vote: What You Can Do

by the Left Coast Rebel

So recently the CBO scored the Senate health care bill that no one has read. It’s 2,074 pages of bureaucratic, future-generation-indebting, liberting-confining monstrosity. C-Gen weighs in brilliantly on the final product, what it really stands for:

Unfortunately, the good news is more the result of well-timed politics than actually creating good legislation. The real reason the news seems so positive regarding Reid’s legislation is the direct result of Reid not making the legislation available to be criticized ahead of the CBO scoring. The media, in its pliant attitude towards leftist policies are merely trumpeting the wonderful news for all to hear before anyone has a chance to tell you what policies are included in the bill. Let me be the first to fill you in on how the CBO projected surplus gains on the legislation.
Go to New Conservative Generation to get C-Gen’s in depth laydown on the moving parts. Hint: The Senate legislation includes Medicare doctor payment cuts, (sorry seniors), Medicaid expansion that will bust our budget and bankrupt future generations, and much, much more.

It is maddening to me to think that I am sitting here knowing that these bastards are pushing this thing despite overwhelming public mistrust. And on a Saturday no-less. The chicanery amidst us knows no bounds. Massive tax hikes, myriad new agencies, monthly abortion fees, a conglomeration of everything terrible that the Federal Government represents with any entitlement program.

And what can you do? A lot, actually. Contact the following swing Senators that may listen. There are four of them right now that Rahm Emanuel and the Chicago thugs are coercing. Ben Nelson, a key target is threatening to filibuster the bill. Tell him to do it. Tell them that you will personally fund their opposition if the vote for the Senate health bill. Tell them, (respectfully), that you will not stand for it. Here they are, h/t Mark Levin :

Senator Mary Landrieu (LA)
Chief of Staff: Jane Campbell ([email protected].senate.gov)
Washington, DC (202) 224-5824 / (202) 224-9735 fax

Senator Evan Bayh (IN)
Chief of Staff: Thomas Sugar ([email protected])
Washington, DC
(202) 224-5623 / (202) 228-1377 fax

Senator Blanche Lincoln (AR)
Chief of Staff: Elizabeth Burks ([email protected].senate.gov)
Washington, DC
(202) 224-4843 / (202) 228-1371 fax

Senator Ben Nelson (NE)
Chief of Staff: Tim Becker ([email protected].senate.gov)
Washington, DC
(202) 224-6551 / (202) 228-0012 fax

Make it happen patriots!

Forget about Landrieu. I don't see a lot of hope here. The dems have the 51 votes. At this point I don't think they care about there prospects as this will put socialism over the top. There's no going back and there never has been. Has the GOP ever repealed the 16th amendment? Social Security? THe social programs of the great society? The gun control act of 1968? Non of it. Not even when they had the votes. Never tried. Right now we need to make other plans, or at least have an option, whatever that is. Right now the whole of the right wing blogosphere and media has been nothing more than pissing in the wind. If you think I am wrong, who would have thought any of this would happen a year ago? Look at quickly it has happened. All because the mush in the middle in this country put a mountebank in office. In the end, we really deserve this.

Yes, we must act in order to prevent the Dems, the pork and the bribes winning the day. We are in the midst of the battle. If we lose, the nation dies.

We are going to get more than a few dems to vote against it and keep the GOP for voting for it. In September I thought we had arrested the momentum, but now it seems with them.

Nickie:If we are in the midst of the battle, then that is not good. I would say the battle is just beginning.

Thanks for doing the hard work and posting this information. I am going to repost on my Facebook page and blog. I would say that in addition to contacting these 4 senators, people should contact their own senators if they know they are going to vote for the bill. Give them the same threat to fund their opposition and to vote against them. It may not change their mind, but coming from a constituent, it makes a statement.

    Oh, one more…sorry

My other Senator….Lugar…well, his wife had a little boo boo you see…she got drunk and hit a parked car and left the scene. Traffic cops stopped her when they saw the damage and the smoke billowing out from her hood.

K.O.O.K.'s had it on their Fox News Headline feed.

Weird…both my Senators are TICKING ME OFF

Landrieu will be voting for cloture. She announced that today, so don't waste the time on her.

You need to add Leiberman to the list. They must have 60 votes for clouture. They can't get it without him unless a republican goes along. Also, if Byrd, who is ill, doesn't show up that will take 2 republicans.

But I doubt that he will have the vote if he doesn't believe he can get it.
