Obamanation 2005, Vote Against Justice John Roberts? Not a Collectivist

I know that many in America won’t draw the above conclusion from this mornings article here in the Wall Street Journal. The great multi-generational failure of the public education system to produce citizens even remotely capable of critical thought permeates our society. Not many know collectivist mantra and philosophy when they hear it. And not many even know the evil depravity, the caging of the human spirit that collectivism creates.

The article? A simple transcription of the Obamanation’s 2005 Senate floor speech, a bloviation of reasoning behind his opposition to Chief Justice John Roberts nomination.

The said quote from the speech? –

“The problem I had is that when I examined Judge Roberts’ record and history of public service, it is my personal estimation that he has far more often used his formidable skills on behalf of the strong in opposition to the weak.”

Judge for yourself, reader – this smacks to me of collectivism. Read the entire speech here , do you agree?

LCB I’m an ex teacher (was pinked slipped during buget cuts) and I can tell you, students today can’t only not think critically, they can’t even draw the proper change at the local Burger King without the computer telling them. They are completely ignorant of the hell they’re in for if we continue this collectistic path because they are well brain washed in class warfare, sex, and drugs.

Collectivism isn’t really what I noticed about the quote but that Obama revealed his judicial philosophy. It seems like he was faulting Roberts for not having enough empathy. And isn’t empathy what he is looking for in a justice? Reading this criticism of Roberts, it makes Obama’s selection of Sotomayor even less surprising.

Madmath 1 – I agree sir, the next generation spells doom for our freedoms in many ways!

Carl – I can see your point although you have to admit that it is definitely a strong hint of collectivism as well…..

Carl Wicklander said…

Oh, definitely. It’s more than a strong hint, but I couldn’t help making the connection since another Supreme Court justice is about to be confirmed.

Carl – indeed, thanks for reading, BTW, I sent off a chunk of dough to the ‘money bomb’ for Rand Paul yesterday….

Carl Wicklander said…

LCR – so did I. Rand’s donations were practically doubled yesterday. Not too bad for just a “mini-money bomb”!

Are you surprised about Obama's voting record or hypocrisy?

Matthew – I'm not one bit surprised, I am just putting the information out there for people to know, most Americans don't know this stuff!
