The fawning and adoring, adulating and drooling hyena media-types slobbering over the ”first 100 days” of the Obamanation. Did they get the talking points and even the concept of the ‘first 100 days’ of this administration? I sure don’t remember them doing this with Reagan or for that matter Bush in 2000. I bet that pols in the White House were sending out memos months ago to hype this turn in time. I’m sure of it. I watched the press conference from last night so that I could blog about it today, (otherwise I wouldn’t be able to stomach it). My opinion – just another long campaign commercial. Is America getting fatigue from this for God’s sake?
Highlights from the press conference include our leader admitting that waterboarding is ‘torture’ and that his banning of waterboarding was the ”right thing to do, regardless of whether or not waterboarding actually was effective” He then said that the information received from waterboarding could have been ”gotten in other ways, consistent with our values” How does he know this? What a revelation of arrogance. He thinks that he can practically part the oceans with his Messiahness. He then goes on to say that he isn’t sure that ”enhanced interrogation techniques made us safer and if other techniques would have worked instead.” Have you ever seen our national security being kicked around like a football like this? Arrogant, incompetent.
Jeff Zeleny from the NYT had the most slobbery question for the Obamanation, ”During this first 100 days, what has surprised you the most, enchanted you the most …” Enchanted? Really? Are you kidding me? What kind of question is that? Creepy Leninist media activity. A willing and able media, imagine a question like that for a conservative. Click here for my entry on the Media Leninist parallels.
Possibly the most telling quote – “we’ve begun the work of remaking America.” Take that as you may dear reader, I take that as an admission of what they are truly doing – expanding the state to Bolshevik proportions, curtailing our Constitution and individual freedoms, and bankrupting future generations.
A reader sent (tip of the hat, Matt D) me a New York Post slideshow that is the antithesis to the MSM portrayal of the first 100 days. Titled “100 Days, 100 Mistakes”, it goes point by point to every error and mishap the Obamanation owned in such a short time. Click here.

LCR,
Thanks for stopping by on my recent post.
Obama is the cult of personality. This isn’t really a presidency, it’s reality TV. It’s Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachy, but politics. People like this guy because it’s West Wing in real life. McCain adds had it right. Obama is a big celebrity and his Presidency is his show.
Sooner or later the consequences of his policies will reach the audience of this reality TV show.
CG – you are right, in the celebrity status of this guy, the problem being though that he does believe in ‘change’ in transforming our country into a quasi-socialist state. This is lost on our media and it is up to us to point these things out!
I’m with you: I was pretty disheartened with the “remaking America” quote, repeated often in the media as a mantra of good things. It’s particularly accurate, which is saying something: Obama is remaking America like no president before him, into his vision of what a socialist America should be. I guess future generations will have to address the problem of how to build a country that cannot be co-opted into a nightmare by self-centered egotistical dictators: America was a good try which lasted a remarkably long time, but now, it too is being remade. Next stop: Obamanation.
Nick – I’m with you too, deep in my heart I am hopeful for America; as you say here though I am aware of the seemingly irreparable damage being done while the public accepts it/or is asleep at the wheel. I almost don’t want to believe things that I read daily. America is the greatest ‘experiment’ ever and is being dismantled. Can we fight it and prevail? I will post this re: your latest post as well.
LCR,
Well you’re doing an excellent job calling him out!
CG – Thank you, I love blogging, and with business slow I am able to do this. Does your line of work allow you to blog frequently as well? Thanks for the support!
Creepy is the word. Him and his fawning media.
LCR,
My lunch break is my blogging time. Sorry to here things are slow. I don’t understand though, with the stimulus plan and all. Have you thought about a green job? jk 🙂
Opus – indeed, it all reaks of a collectivist mentality
CG – Things will pick up later in the year for me so I’m ok, I have read about all of the green jobs – billions to be had before the rat holes fill up!
his banning of waterboarding was the ”right thing to do, regardless of whether or not waterboarding actually was effective” It’s rather meaningless, other than announcing to the enemy what we will and will not do and making lefties feel like Obama is doing something significant. Waterboarding hasn’t been done since 2005 and part of its effectiveness was in the terrorist not knowing that he wasn’t actually being drowned.
Wordsmith – Meaningless indeed, like I said, national security kicked around like a football. Thanks for dropping by
LCR,
Just wanted to note that I posted a response to CJ on my blog with more info about why the Chrysler debacle is so bad; if nothing else, it’s interesting reading if you haven’t delved into exactly what the Obamanation is trying to do, and why people should care.
Your stomach is stronger than mine. I can’t watch the tongue baths that Obama gets from the so called “free” press. It’s a disgusting display of softball questions unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
Nick – I read your response last night, I must say that you expressed the most concise, eloquent, on-point case against the Chrysler case, many things I am aware of, you enlightened me to some new details, bravo!
Cune – anti-nausea drugs do the trick, tongue-baths – now that’s a great descriptive term…..
