Obamanation Five Pillars

Key Excerpts from the speech,

(My take italicized)

“To begin with, economists on both the left and right agree that the last thing a government should do in the middle of a recession is to cut back on spending.” Really? This is it? We should burden future generations with unbridled debt and this is the best he can do?

“Second of all, I absolutely agree that our long-term deficit is a major problem that we have to fix. But the fact is that this recovery plan represents only a tiny fraction of that long-term deficit. As I will discuss in a moment, the key to dealing with our deficit and debt is to get a handle on out-of-control health care costs – not to stand idly by as the economy goes into free fall. ” I actually heard this part whilst driving down the coast. I felt like throwing something at a seagull at this point. Are you kidding me? Health care has nothing to do with the deficit for God’s sake, runaway federal spending on all fronts is the cause. 2nd grade math here. Another straw man for political gain.

There is a parable at the end of the Sermon on the Mount that tells the story of two men. The first built his house on a pile of sand, and it was destroyed as soon as the storm hit. But the second is known as the wise man, for when “…the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house…it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.” Ok so a parable here, I digress but more on my take of this later.

But the only way to truly spark this transformation is through a gradual, market-based cap on carbon pollution, so that clean energy is the profitable kind of energy. Some have argued that we shouldn’t attempt such a transition until the economy recovers, and they are right that we have to take the costs of transition into account. But we can no longer delay putting a framework for a clean energy economy in place. This one is simple – force socialism and a Marxist government scheme for ‘carbon-credits’ on a people regardless of bad economic conditions – Socialism cannot wait!

Now to my Five Pillars –

Pillar 1. Debt-ridden, insovent taxpayer

Pillar 2. Debt-ridden, insovent future taxpayer(s)

Pillar 3. Future 10% inflation and devaluation of the dollar

Pillar 4. Collectivism and Statism sold to us with a silver tongue and a smile

Pillar 5. One giant industrial paper shredder for the Constitution

it does seem as if people are realizing it though, amigo. even states, like Texas, are beginning to show some backbone.

Griper – You are correct, I heard Rick Perry via Savage last night and he echoed that! A lot of Texans a ahead of the curve….will other states follow?

i heard there were others too, oklahoma being one but have nothing to verify that. but will say this, it does sound as if the floodgates have been opened and if true, electing Obama may have been a blessing in disguise.

Griper – I pray to God that you are right, I always want to see the positive in things and to think that it is possible that one day we may be able to look back humorously at our leader is something to certainly hope for!
