LA Times confirms that Tea Partiers are your regular voters, they just didn’t say it that way

by Conservative Generation for the Left Coast Rebel

Today the LA Times released a report on the demographics of the average tea partier and the results confirmed that they are in fact your typical voter. Well that is before political consultants and leftist hacks Jim Spencer and Curtis Ellis (the writers of the article) started spinning the results. What do you expect, it is the LA Times.

According to the survey, the average Tea Partier is the following:

“Nearly 75% are college educated, and two-thirds earn more than $50,000.

More likely to be white and male…, tea partiers also skew toward middle age or older.”

The authors are very careful to point out that this is not the demographic of your average American. They are in fact the description of your regular voter. According to the 2008 voter registration data at the US Census Bureau, the median voter is between the ages of 44 and 65, had at least some college education and has an income between $50-$75k. The median voter is also female. However, the authors don’t mention how far off the demographics are skewed, so it’s really hard to say whether being predominantly male is statistically significant. I must point out that this is the same electorate that put Democrats and Obama in power.

Since we are talking about a modern day political movement, it makes more sense to compare to a population of politically active Americans in the current century as I have (last year actually), as opposed to leftist hacks that were protesting in the 60’s and are actually more likely to be writing LA Times propaganda as opposed to attending a Tea Party.
