Democratic Party Meltdown: Charles Rangel’s Replacement Stark Replaced After One Day by Rep. Sandy Levin

by the Left Coast Rebel

I just have to laugh out loud over this story, what was Nancy Pelosi thinking? Has the botox finally invaded her lobal nether regions? Perhaps it’s a little bit of a ‘personal’ problem as evidence by the picture at the left. I’ll leave it up to your imagination, (I aplogize if you have eaten breakfast).

When Nancy Pelosi announced Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) to replace Carribean-vacationer Charlie Rangel as chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, I couldn’t believe it, even for Nancy Pelosi. Being a resident of the Once Golden State, I am all too familiar with Peter Stark, the guy is a flaming nutcase, radical leftist and has a motormouth a mile long. Apparently though it’s a moot point, he didn’t even get the chance to serve more than one day, via The Hill:

Rep. Sandy Levin (D-Mich.) will be the acting chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced to her caucus on Thursday.

The startling announcement comes a day after Rep. Pete Stark (D-Calif.) appeared ready to take the reins of the committee from Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.).

Stark was the next in line for the post in terms of seniority, but some panel members recoiled at the idea of his leading the committee. Stark is known for making controversial and eccentric remarks, and in 2007 he apologized on the House floor for comments about President George W. Bush and the Iraq War.
Memeorandum has more.

Here in Michigan, Sander Levin, Carl's brother, is known as Sander Lenin. I am not sure if this is just another bad choice or if it speaks to the level of quality the Democrats have to choose from.
