Chief Justice Roberts

A quick thought on Chief Justice Roberts, post election:  I wonder how he's feeling now about that decision to side with the liberals on the Supreme Court to uphold Obamacare as Constitutional.

Secondarily, how soon until conservatives turn on him as a complete sellout?  My guess is it'll happen as soon as some of those 2000+ pages of provisions start to kick in.

  1. JR is dead to me. He took the cowardly way out. Call it a tax or a mandate, the fed gov now has unprecedented power over our private decisions.

Chief Justice Roberts might be feeling very good about himself and his decision to side with the Constitution. The people of USA deserve better. The ACA is not a great law but it is a work in progress. The people will make it better as time goes on.

"... how soon until conservatives turn on him as a complete sellout?"

Given how totally marginalized (and WRONG on all issues) the 'Conservatives' have made themselves, why should any sane person care? Maybe if USA is lucky the 'Conservatives'
can join the secessionists in taking up Canada's offer. Canada is opening up its northern-most province of Nunavut to anyone from the states who just can’t stomach another four years of President Obama’s ruthless, tyrannical, moderate rule. Each immigrant will receive 40 acres of land conveniently located near open water. And Canada is also generously offering a used snowmobile and a sled to any newcomers as well. There’s no doubt that life in Nunavut, fending for yourself without any help from the Nanny State, will take some getting used to, especially for those Southerners who hail from states that receive far more government benefits than they pay in tax revenue.

Oh if it were only true ...

    1. Yep Ema, If it were only true. A province founded on self sufficiency and hard work with the ethics that the individual is the master of his own destiny. Oh yeah, come to think about it That is how it used to be in the USA. Until.................... Progressivism became the fad of the land.

      Gobble Gobble Ema.

  3. So in all of that reply Ema you managed 4 sentences pertaining to the subject at hand... Impressive. The rest was just more of the same liberal jackassery we've come to expect. "The ACA is not a great law but it is a work in progress. The people will make it better as time goes on." Kind of like how we have to pass it to see what's in it, Mrs. Pelosi? At the end of the day, you're boy, who vehemently declared he wouldn't raise taxes on any family making under $250K a year, had to have the Supreme Court call his landmark piece of legislation a tax to make it constitutional. If you really think about it, it's pretty pathetic. The fact that the Dems could not craft comprehensive medical care reform that DID NOT have to go to the Surpreme Court to be declared constitutional is pitiful. What's even more sad though, is the uneducated masses bought that shit and elected a man to office for a second term that flat out lied to their faces. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when O, P, and R are laughing at how idiotic their voter base is.

I guess this is just more proof that liberalism is a mental disorder. It's much easier to make decisions that are emotionally driven and that be the only deciding factor. It takes a lot more fortitude to make one based on fact, reason, and logic. I won't even bring up the fact that there is absolutely no possible way for us to pay for this bastard piece of legislation, as we could write a novel on that.

The description of Modern Liberalism, aka progressivism. A very apt one at that.

"It takes a lot more fortitude to make one based on fact, reason, and logic."

An apt description of Classical Liberalism.

So, Classical Liberalism good, Modern Liberalism, or progressivism should be swept into the dust bin of history.

And the number of sentences SWD managed pertaining to the subject at hand is 0. Making SWD's response ... ??? Answer: less than ZERO!

It is near-mathematically perfect joy watching smug and contemptible creatures of the right like SWD and RN(USA) dodge, swerve, make excuses, and, most of all, whine. ACA is Constitutional. If you cannot bring yourself to accept the improvement of the quality of life in USA, you could always join the people in Canada.

    3. Ema, except in your delusion point to where I, the proprietor of the site known as RN USA, made reference to the constitutionality of the ACA, aka ObamaCare.

Contemptible creature Ema? Very subjective and as they say, one is entitled to their own opinions.

And Ema, being apparently devoid of critical thinking skills you are one who beyond the shadow of a doubt thinks with your heart rather than the grew matter. Perfectly fine of ot makes you "feel good.."

      "Contemptible creature Ema?"

You take umbrage to the use of the word 'contemptible'? OK. What word would you use to describe a person who willingly and knowingly uses a blatant bold-face lie to try to destroy a good person ("You didn't build that.")? Would reprehensible been a better word?

Do personal attacks make you feel better?

"As well as being a liar."

You mean you did not knowingly try to use a blatant Murdoch Media/Fox Networks made-up, flat-out, boldface lie ('You didn't make that') to destroy a good person?

Oh I'm sorry. Does my pointing out the truth that you did pass on blatant Murdoch Media/Fox Networks made-up, flat-out, boldface lies upset you? (Below is a sampling of just some of the posts on YOUR blog.)

  4. JR was just doing what he was paid to do. For all you people saying you have to vote for the republican because he gets to appoint the Supreme Court Justices for life, I say suck it.

I find it bizarre that right after he ruled it was a "tax" he high tailed it to the island of Malta. I didn't by into the Knights of Malta conspiracy talk, but now I'm going to have to give it a closer look. That's just a weird place to run to after you've just screwed every person in your home country.
