This, via TMZ of all places:
According to the U.S. Attorney's spokesman, 55-year-old Nakoula Basseley Nakoula was arrested today in California on a probation violation stemming from a 2010 check fraud conviction, for which he served a year in prison. The probation report is sealed? Something stinks to high heaven here and it doesn't take a genius to figure that out...
A judge has ordered Nakoula to be jailed for the violation.
How Nakoula violated his probation is unclear -- the probation report is sealed -- but under the terms of his probation, Nakoula was banned from using computers and the Internet for 5 years without prior approval.
Nakoula Basseley Nakoula has been the personal scapegoat for the Obama administration's Middle East foreign policy failures.
It's just too convenient that the Feds have put this guy away; in fact I get the feeling that it's part two of Obama's Muslim-kowtowing anti-free speech appeasing crusade.
I think there's a high likelihood here that the Feds are punishing Nakoula and depriving him of his First Amendment rights on a technicality.
If America apparently weren't so upside-down, most of us would realize this and be decrying this move.

You can't escape the notion that the film is at the heart of these proceedings and it will be seen that way in the Muslim world. They will recognize the parole violation as an excuse - happens in their countries all the time. A free speech advocate or political reformer is arrested and charged with a crime unrelated to his political activities. This is a favorite tactic of authoritarians around the world and now, it's being used in America.
