(VIDEO) DC #OWS Organizer and Former Union Boss Mike Golash - "Progressive Labor is a Revolutionary Communist Organization"

Communists in the now-defunct #OWS?

The inevitability of indoctrination in American education
Duh.

From The DC:

Former Amalgamated Transit Union local 689 president Mike Golash, now an “Occupy” movement organizer, was caught on tape Sunday revealing his political goals: overthrowing capitalism in the United States and instituting a communist government.

“Progressive labor is a revolutionary communist organization,” Golash said during an Occupy DC “People’s Assembly” on August 19.

“Its objective,” he added, “is to make revolution in the United States, overthrow the capitalist system and build communism.”

Golash said he and his comrades are “trying to learn something from the historical revolutions of the past: the Russian revolution, the Chinese revolution, the revolutions in Cuba and Eastern Europe.”

I saw these kind of folks (waving red communist hammer and sickle flags) and additional flea- and filth-infested sundry wackos marching downtown when I took the wife on a date to see the San Diego symphony.
After seeing the characters involved with #OWS San Diego, this guy's words surprise me none, or that he was a union boss, either. Of course, that's not to say that all (or even most) union members are far-left wackos.

But unfortunately, many of the power brokers in the union cabals -- like this Mike Golash fella -- are.

  1. i wonder if these protesters realize that if they were carrying signs in opposition to the governmental/economic system of any of the countries listed, they would, at best, be sent to camp.

or, as greg gutfeld stated, "you don't see cuban immigrants wearing che shirts".

  2. It's simply amazing how the media is in such total denial about this. It's like if they ever mentioned it, they'd be kicked out of the MSM club.

  3. drozz: That doesn't matter. They and we don't want to live in a totalitarian country.

KT Cat + LCR: You way overestimate these people. From what I see, they're a mix of a) people outright opposed to capitalism, b) people who want to be more capitalistic and want to eliminate rent-seeking, cronieism and money in politics, c) people who are frustrated at how hard it is to get a job, pay off loans, and live a moderately affluent lifestyle. My gut feeling is group A is small. I'd like to think group B is big b/c that's a cause of rehiform that most everyone could get behind; but I think it's small. I think most of them are group C. Group C is wasting its time because it would be much easier for them to go out and find someone who needs something and provide it than to get Wall Street and the US gov't focused on improving their lives.
