Meet Julia: The Female Face of Barack Obama's Cradle-to-Grave Socialism

By the Left Coast Rebel

The White House Occupier's campaign has a new tactic, slogan and target demographic for this year's election.

Julia.

Julia is a fancy flashy Flash-ish graphic kinda gal (at BarackObama.com) that seemingly cannot get through the rat-maze of America without the wonderful guiding hand of the Federal government. The Flash slideshow starts with Julia enrolled in Head Start at age 3. I took a screen-shot of the graphic; click to embiggen:

Let's fast-forward to a 23-year-old Julia - this one is particularly offensive because it is flat-out not true...

Anyway, you get the point. Julia needs "Daddy" Obama (or Dear Leader; whatever you want to call him); without being a benefactor of Dear Leader's graciousness, Julia has no chance, no shot at anything whatsoever.

How predictable and utterly useless. These people are disgusting and have no shame whatsoever.

In fact, I find the "Julia" campaign highly offensive in that it almost specifically insinuates that American women in particular have no chance in America at every single point in their lives without the guiding hand of a benevolent socialist government.

I know that women are far more accepting of statism and Leviathan schemes, but come on - isn't this a sexist point Team Obama is making; that women can't get or go anywhere without big-government programs?

Sadly, Mitt Romney's vision of America for Julia really isn't that much different as this Reason.com post by Nick Gillespie humorously, and sadly, points out.

Why don't we just skip ahead to Gillespie's accurate version the "golden" years of Julia's life:

Socialism has screwed Julia and all of us as well.

  1. This is just absolutely gut wrenching. When will the madness end? Our country is so conditioned to rely on government. People don't even realize it anymore.

  2. You are looking at the face of America. In a nation of this size with it's diverse culture is it not to be expected a diverse range of beliefs would be present?

Is the task we face one of presenting the truth, supported with facts, and pointing out the positive results when reasoned and rational policies are pursued?

Negativity, and demeaning the opposition sells, or at least it appears to. My bet, it will wear out it's effectiveness. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Here's a novel idea I have used in managing people most of m life... Before criticizing others first make sure your own back yard is pristine.

My point is not to stop pointing out the problems of socialism and the ultimate long term negative results of dependency on government. Rather it is that conservatives, and especially republicans need to look in the mirror and clean up their own act.

Give the people of this nation a overwhelming reason to change course. Other than just bashing the President. Yes I' ll call him what he is, the man a majority of Americans voted for in 2008. Unless major changes happen within the conservative and republican ranks Obama will be a two term president.

Unfortunately voting against Obama rather than FOR a candidate like Gary Johnson (unfortunately Ron Paul didn't jump the big R republican party long ago) will only insure continued statist progression towards the abyss.

"... presenting the truth, supported with facts, and pointing out the positive results when reasoned and rational policies are pursued?"

Have you come to the wrong place!! LeftCoastRebel is all about the "gloom, doom, and hate" as manifest in the Obama Derangement Syndrome. LCR is not interested in facts; his is the hatred brought on by the knowledge that another person (and a man of color at that) has succeeded and LCR has not. LCR has even convinced himself that those that LCR hates do not have the right to exist.

"Let's fast-forward to a 23-year-old Julia - this one is particularly offensive because it is flat-out not true:"

Is this 'not true' simply because LCR says it is not true; or does LCR have to present the truth supported by "facts"? Really, one has to ask?

    1. Emma, In this case there is a difference of opinion. There is evidence to support what LCR says.

One has only to look at the results dependency on others (the government being one), rather than dependence on ones self generally brings.

Your characterization of LCR is by the way based totally on your dislike for his views and not on anything relevant.

As a matter of fact Emma you are one that fits the type I was addressing in my comment.

    2. Not my name,

I'll happily give your words credibility if you can show me one leftist social-engineering program that has not failed miserably.

      Medicare/Medicaid: Broke.

      Social Security: Broke.

War on Poverty: Created more poverty.

111th Congressional Session: Spent more money than all Congressional sessions beforehand, and still have nothing to show for it.

Head Start: Utter failure with no discernible success.

Affirmative Action: Blacks in America suffer the lowest employment rate.

      Shall I continue?

    3. *Gasp!* Facts shall not be named; it is only "good intentions" that count!

    4. Emma: First of all, LCR is an free-speech outlet where I (and many others) express our views. Do you think that we shouldn't have the right to do so? Do YOU think that I shouldn't have the right (of free speech) to criticize the President of the United States? What would you have me do, not express my opinion? Would you have the government silence me and thousands like me?

Because it sure sounds like that's what you are saying...

  4. Les: You said, "

Hear, hear! I totally agree. The problem(s) with this nation are that; a) we have a true dyed-in-the-wool collectivist in the White House; and b) that the "opposition" (Romney and the GOP power brokers) are a terrible representation of a rational limited government philosophy, one that will save this nation from what both parties -- accelarated 10x under King Obama -- have done to this once-great nation.

    1. But, according to arsenic-laced Kool-Aid drinkers like collectivist granny above (Emma), I just hate Obama 'cause he's black! Emma claims that Obama "has succeeded" to which I reply:

      At what?

    2. If the truth be known, President Obama has only proved that a black President can be just as idiotic as a white one, with just as many bad ideas.

Put that in your Occupy scrapbook, Not my name.

According to Jehmu Greene, Tucker Carlson is just another 'bow-tying white man'. Does this make Louis Farakhan just another bow-tie wearing black man?
