Scraping the Bottom of the Race-Industrial Complex Barrel: Romney's "Obama Isn't Working" Banner is Racist

This Mediaite post is so stupid it should be an Onion piece, not pretended "journalism." Does Tommy Christoper (the author of this ridiculous piece at Mediaite) think that black people are stupid enough to think that an "Obama Isn't Working" Romney banner is racist? I think he does.

Here's how Tommy Christopher's mind (and other race-baiters) works:

  Mitt Romney has a campaign slogan: "Obama isn't Working."

  Obama has a lot of black supporters; Romney doesn't.

  Black people are lazy and don't work.

  Romney's "Obama isn't Working" is a subtle way of transmitting that blacks are inherently lazy.

  Raaaacist!


Who are the real racists in America today? Those that see race in everything and automatically think of blacks when the term "not working" comes up? Those that try to stir racial tension when they know it is not warranted? Those that overuse the term racist to the point of it becoming nearly invalid? Or those that truly wish to judge individuals by the content of their character, not the color of their skin.

Those that find race under every rock desensitize society to actual cases of racism (which Ayn Rand termed the lowest, most crudely primitive form of collectivism) and are actually the true racists in the end. This truism plays out mostly because progressives are philosophically bankrupt and they adhere to tribal-identity politics. Its beyond ironic, though, that "tolerant" progressives are the biggest impediment to a truly color blind American society.

The race card is the last refuge of the progressive scoundrel. It's all they have these days.

Wow, the Dems have become the party of paranoid extremists.....between the violent, mentally unstable Occupiers, Black Panthers and Obama sheep, this once proud party is on the cusp of extinction.....I will pray that the Left change their violent, racist, myopic ways......btw, too much weed may be the root cause of much of this paranoia....just sayin'....

Ridiculous. Searching for manufactured outrage, is an outrage in and of itself. We have enough problems without some pundit inventing new ones in a "hey, look at me" gambit.

Holy Lord Tommy, please tell me this post is really a caricature to make fun of all the race politics going on in the election. Please tell me that. Because I cannot believe that anyone would be so so so stupid(there literally are a million words coming to mind right now) as to play the race card with this.

Do Mediaite writers get bonuses for page views?  I'm really of the mind this must be the case, as I'm seeing a lot of incendiary "articles" that are nothing more than gratuitous trolling passing for issues here, just to get people to look.  It's pretty shameful, actually.

    1. They aren't. You will notice though that a lot of the news cycle today is simpy the left (Obama, the media, et. al.) throwing bones to the useful idiots, i.e. the Democrat base. Something. Anything! to get them riled up and motivated.

  6. Speechless really. All I will say is this... If people buy this crap, and keep kicking it down the road this nation (and all its people) are truly in deep sh*t.

    As the discussions of substantive and critical issues to this nation continue to be co-opted by the kind of garbage reason this guy displays the problems continue to mount.

    But then again solving problems does require work, as in teamwork guided by a vision based on principles and integrity. Yup, we're in deep fer sure.

    1. I totally agree. Where is the independent, rational thought in this nation? We are eficit spending, what, $8 billion per day? Our nation is burning and the best the progs come up with is the race card? We are truly in deep doo-doo.
