(VIDEO) Bystanders Rescue 21-Year-Old Motorcyclist Brandon Wright Near Utah State University

Cross-posted to the Left Coast Rebel

The story goes that this young man -- Brandon Wright -- swerved his motorcycle to avoid a BMW.

Unfortunately, he collided with the car and was then trapped under it even as the bike caught fire. A crowd gathered around the car contemplating what to do, the rest is history:

Brandon Wright is in critical condition but expected to recover.

If this incident had taken place in California, Brandon Wright could sue and win millions because the bystanders took too long to lift the car.

No kidding.

    Unfortunately, all too true.
Fortunately, it happened in Logan, which, if it's like most communities in Utah, means that he'll have a steady stream of neighbors bringing him meals, cleaning his house, and taking care of his yard until he's up and about again.

    Flyover country for the win.

  2. Too true, Bastiatarian. If this had taken place in the inner city of Los Angeles or Oakland et al., not only would the bystanders not have helped; they likely would have looted the BMW as well.

I'll take "flyover" country any day.
