Forgive my schadenfreude:

Disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner did his fellow Democrats no favors yesterday -- moving out of his district just as his panicking party struggled to hold on to his endangered congressional seat.

Weiner took the last remaining items from his Queens co-op just in time to remind voters why they have to vote today -- because he resigned in a sexting scandal that made him a national laughingstock.

Weiner is ditching the neighborhood that sent him to Congress six times, and is renting a three-bedroom apartment on a high-rent Greenwich Village street, sources said.

Updated: More details on the special election replacing Weiner in NY-9, via The Hill:

A looming Democratic loss in New York’s special election Tuesday would be seen as a sign of big political and policy problems for President Obama and his party heading into next year’s election.

Democrats have held former Rep. Anthony Weiner’s (D-N.Y.) district since it was created, but two polls conducted in the past week show Republican candidate Bob Turner has a strong chance of capturing the seat.

The media will downplay the Obama-factor if this Democrat-entrenched seat goes to republican Bob Turner. I know nothing of Turner or if he is a principled guy but his victory signals monumental dissatisfaction with The Won. Look for complete silence from the White House to confirm this tomorrow.

We'll see where it end up later today!
