If This Judge Judy Segment Doesn't Make you a Libertarian, You Don't Have a Brain

By the Left Coast Rebel

This Judge Judy segment unfortunately speaks for itself:

Summary of the video:
Judge Judy speaks out on where our tax dollars go in this case of Duane Brooks, Jr. who is scamming the government with all of his stipends, subsidies and assistance - and using none of it for what it was intended for.

That puts it nicely. The words parasite, looter brainchild and other inflammatory descriptive phrases not fit to print here come to mind as does a simple adage from this nation's last great president, Ronald Reagan:

If You Subsidize Something, You Get More of It
Remember that when the left screams and howls at the mere notion of even cutting the rate of growth of our illegitimate looter-based federal government.

  1. LCR,

I get your anger about this. It *is* absolutely infuriating! But couldn't one's reaction be limited to wanting to become a "really pissed-off conservative"?

I think there are a lot of us who are not [Big "L"] Libertarians who would want to take Mr Brooks to the woodshed.

Respectfully, the prospect of migrating to a political group whose sentiments on personal responsibility and self-reliance are extremely commendable but whose views on the defense of this country I disagree with just to make people like Duane toe the line is not at the top of my list.

  2. I do not think LCR was detracting from conservatives, but the entire idea that the government should be involved in any of these matters. I am a conservative, but this point is not lost on me.

  3. Thanks, Charles!

Bill, Charles (doo-doo) is correct. My point here is not to detract from conservatives or conservative ideals but to point to the libertarian position that the government should not be involved in these matters (welfare, handouts with no strings attached) whatsoever.

Did you read my American Thinker piece re: libertarians and defense and my unique tea party perspective? Food for thought on the defense subject:

  4. Indeed indeed. We are looking at the future. The combined result of the democratic and republican parties efforts at collectivism. As I said in a previous post of mine will America ever wake up.

And I do not mind being straight forward and blunt in speaking the truth.

Your sentiment might be commendable if Lebanon, Vietnam, Iraq, Bosnia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Afghanistan, Iran, Guatemala, and Chile were "this country" we live in.

Strong defense for America, but not global cop.
