Why in the World Would NBC Remove "Under God" From Pledge of Allegiance During U.S. Open Broadcast?

By the Left Coast Rebel

Religious conservatives in the audience will no doubt go apoplectic over this, stories like this drive home the ridiculous bias that saturates U.S. lamestream media.

From Newsbusters:

NBC on Sunday decided to cut the words "under God" from the reading of the Pledge of Allegiance that accompanied the beginning of its coverage of the U.S. Open Golf Championship.

In fact, this happened twice during the show's introduction...

For what it is worth, I am leery of the Pledge, as many grassroots libertarians and true conservatives are. Americans -- especially children -- should be pledging allegiance to the United States Constitution and liberty, not unquestioned obedience to the anti-constitutional beast that our government has become.

But that is neither here nor there, this story clearly exposes NBC's rabid bias. I wonder if they would have scrubbed a reference to the prophet Muhammed? I think not.

Updated: NBC issues an apology. How nice of them.

  1. Though I'm weery of the pledge, the reason why NBC excluded "under God" is because they're a Godless empire in their own right.
