Beware if you use Interstate 15, it's going to be a mess until June 26.

SAN DIEGO -- Construction began over the weekend on the Interstate 15 express lanes, but people traveling the freeway Monday morning should expect heavy traffic.
Caltrans began widening an 8-mile stretch of Interstate 15's carpool lanes between Ted Williams Parkway and state Route 163.
Caltrans expects long delays and heavy congestion in the area while workers install removable barriers, signs and pave new lanes.When the work is done -- on June 26, there will be two car pool lanes open each direction 24 hours a day.
