PETA Builds Campaign Around Microwave Baby Death

"Everybody's Somebody's Baby"

Most sensible people were horrified by the story of the Sacramento mother who murdered her baby using a microwave oven.

Now, seeking to capitalize on the horrific and sensational story, PETA is proposing a billboard comparing microwaving a child alive with cooking a pork chop.

Now I have been sympathetic to PETA in the past. I don't agree with them, but I could sympathize with their sentiments. Not here. I hesitated even writing about this, as I did the original story, simply because this is sickening to many people, and if they are only seeking cheap publicity, I hesitated to give it to them. And, IMHO, the PETA ad was supposedly designed by sane people, who evidently do not care the amount of pain they might inflict on the family of this murdered child.

Shame on you, PETA.

  3. RK: "So PETA is a bunch of ardent prolifers? " As long as you're a rat or a dog or a bunny or a pig.
    Human babies? Not so much!

serfer: These women probably couldn't find their kitchen with a GPS, much less cook.

Another Year, Another Horrendous PETA Slaughter of Homeless Pets

Animal lovers worldwide now have access to more than a decade's worth of evidence showing that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) kills thousands of defenseless pets at its Virginia headquarters. Since 1998, PETA has opted to "put down" 25,840 adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens instead of finding them "forever homes."

PETA's "Animal Record" report for 2010, which the animal rights group itself filed with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, shows that PETA employees killed 94 percent of the dogs and cats in their care last year. During all of 2010, PETA found adoptive homes for just 44 pets.

  6. The very heart of PETA is a bunch of sick, twisted individuals who have no respect for any life, human or animal. I am sure they have some well meaning members that don't really understand what PETA's aims are, but the ones who run it are defiantly demented.

  7. @mherzog: The issue isn't animal rights. The issue is, the devaluing of human life by organizations like PETA.

    But keep spamming those links!
