Has this guy been pickled with formaldehyde? He's been in the United States longer than almost anyone and Utah voters in our Tea Party Age are ready for a fresh face of representation.
Sen. Orrin Hatch's (R-Utah) reelection campaign is facing significant primary and general-election difficulties, a new poll found Monday.Chaffetz is a good guy and -- and a solid fiscal conservative -- and would make for a great replacement for Utah's formaldehyde-progressive RINO senator. Utah's senate race will definitely be one to watch in 2012. I expect great things, given how solid Utah's 2010 freshman, Tea-Party-favorite Mike Lee is.
Hatch would struggle in a primary battle against Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), according to a Deseret News/KSL-TV poll, and the longtime Republican senator is tied with a potential general-election foe, Democratic Rep. Jim Matheson (Utah).
