White House top economic advisor Austan Goolsbee is out, Lonely Conservative has the news:
The top economics advisor to President Obama is jumping ship. He hasn’t been in the position very long, and obviously was an utter failure at his job. According the NYT’s The Caucus blog, Goolsbee is going back to world of academia, and the White House is searching for another academic to come down from the ivory tower:
With the recovery flagging, the White House is eager to name a successor to Mr. Goolsbee this summer and is considering several academic economists, an administration official said on Monday. The job requires Senate confirmation.
Obama personally and this administration generally have no clue what to do with our floundering economy. Besides, job growth, rekindling the animal spirits of the free market (ie. freeing the American people from the chains of over-regulation and big government) take a far distant seat to the "never let a good crisis go to waste" progressive-socialist central-planning agenda.
Remember, how clueless Teh One looked last Friday giving his "thank me for the auto industry recovery (that isn't)" speech yet failing to even address the disastrous job numbers that hit the wires right before the speech?
Manchurian Candidate, Fail.
Austan Goolsbee is gone but when will the vast majority of Americans call it quits on this failed administration's socialist, central-planning schemes that have put our entire nation on the skids?
