The Libertarian Patriot
It's official. After months of dancing around the issue, Gary Johnson has announced his candidacy in the 2012 race for the White House.
He may not be the biggest name is the race but to me, the former New Mexico Governor has all the qualifications needed to turn this country around from the pro-big government, pro-war, anti-liberty disaster we have witnessed over the last 10+ years. After all he's a self-made business man who turned a one-man handyman business into a company that employed over 1000 workers and a former two-term Governor who vetoed 750 spending bills.
His libertarian cred is, thus far, unmatched by the crop of potential GOP hopefuls as he is serious in his beliefs of small government and individual liberty. If you are looking for a candidate who is not afraid to cut, as he calls it "the big 4", Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and defense, Gary Johnson is the candidate for you. He doesn't to balance the budget in 10 years or 20 years; he wants to do it immediately - $1.6 trillion in reduced federal spending right away. He's also a staunch believer in the original intent of the Constitution and would not only end our involvement in foreign wars but also put an end to the War on Drugs.
The time is now to take our republic back.
