by the Left Coast Rebel

NASA just released this video taken by six cameras mounted on the space shuttle Discovery's rocket boosters. The rocket boosters were recovered from the ocean and offer a bird's-eye-view of the shuttle's February 24 launch.

This is simply awesome, enjoy:

Updated: NASA scientist sees aliens on asteroids? Fox News:

Though it may be hard to swallow, Hoover is convinced that his findings reveal fossil evidence of bacterial life within such meteorites, the remains of living organisms from their parent bodies — comets, moons and other astral bodies. By extension, the findings suggest we are not alone in the universe, he said.

“I interpret it as indicating that life is more broadly distributed than restricted strictly to the planet earth,” Hoover told FoxNews.com. “This field of study has just barely been touched — because quite frankly, a great many scientist would say that this is impossible.”

I wonder where this discovery will lead? Discussion over at Memeorandum.

  2. Great Video! Raw footage is always my favorite. They actually re-use those rocket boosters, which are recovered by the Navy! I was jamming Houses of the Holy while watching....good combo!
