Live Streaming Video of Riots in Egypt January 28, 2011

by the Left Coast Rebel

I assume that you do not know the motivations of the people of Egypt to rise up against their puppet masters. Is it because the regime their isn't crazy-jihad-enough?

Or is it a Middle Eastern Tienanmen Square?

Regardless, the display of the human struggle against tyranny in Egypt today is an amazing sight to behold. Apparently Egyptian authorities hit the "kill switch" for the internet in the nation (our government has the same powers now, thanks to recent legislation, more on this at Cato) and the military has now been engaged to confront people. What would America look like under similar circumstances? Don't fool yourselves and insist that it couldn't happen here, too.

Updated: This isn't a big f$cking deal, at least according to our genius Vice President. Here's part of Joe Biden's flaccid, offensive, "illegitimate" comment to PBS last night:
"We’re encouraging the protesters to – as they assemble, do it peacefully. And we’re encouraging the government to act responsibly and – and to try to engage in a discussion as to what the legitimate claims being made are, if they are, and try to work them out."
