Here is a story worthy of being called strange and two months after Halloween.
Apparantly, Evan Francis Brown of Albertville, AL thinks he is a vampire. He doesn't drink people's blood, but branding people with a "V" for "vamp?" Now there's a cause this wacko can get behind.
Police in Alabama say a 20-year-old man who believes he is a vampire and goes by the nickname "Vamp" is accused of burning a "V" into a teenager's forehead.
Evan Francis Brown has been charged with second-degree assault, a felony. Gadsden police detective Mike Hooks told The Gadsden Times that Brown heated a fork or a spoon on a stove and used it to brand a "V" into a 17-year-old's forehead in October. Hooks says Brown tied the teen up, tricking him into believing they were playing a game.
Police say the teenager also had cigarette burns on his face and arms and had been beaten.
Hooks says Brown told authorities that his religious belief is Satanism and that he is known by the nickname "Vamp."
It didn't take long for locals to offer Robert Pattinson and sparkly vampires as scapegoats for the assault.
Reports are also coming out that Evan Francis Brown is part of some sort of vampire gang known as "The Homeless Crew:"
Gadsen Police detective Mike Hooks told the paper the attack was carried out at Brown’s residence in northern Alabama, where he lived with several other people who considered themselves to be part of a gang called “The Homeless Crew.” Investigators found what appeared to be satanic symbols spray-painted on the walls and a book about witchcraft that was apparently stolen from a local library.
