FBI Catches Suspect Maryland Politician With $80K in Her Underwear

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A married pair of top officials in a Maryland county is accused of tampering with evidence after FBI agents said they recorded the husband telling his wife to flush a $100,000 check from a real estate developer down the toilet and to stuff almost $80,000 in cash in her underwear.

Rumor says these are Democrats, though you cannot find any mention of party affiliation in the linked story. That in itself is usually a pretty good sign!

  1. So what your saying is that if they were republicans, the media would have made that very clear? (AP) Associated Propaganda

  2. John: Republicans caught doing something unseemly are typically identified in the first paragraph. Democrats are identified as such, deep in the body of the story, if at all.
Democratic members of the House are sometimes referred to with the abbreviation "Rep.", in hopes that someone will mistake "representative" for "Republican".
