Allen West... A Leader For Our Times

One of the congressional races I followed and fervently supported at Rational Nation USA was that of Lieutenant Colonel Allen West. A retired military man, West is a man of honor and integrity.

His loyalty to this nation and it's founding principals is without question. Though a man of African descent, he sees his loyalty as being with the American people and the principles that made this nation great.

Unlike the current occupant of the Oval Office he understands what it means to be a leader of people. He lead individuals through the most trying of circumstances. He lead in a time of war and those he lead were placing their lives at risk daily.

Not only does this African American deserve the utmost respect for his leadership he deserves the admiration of an entire nation. Allen West knows what it means to be leader and he understands the grave responsibly that leadership engenders.

Running in a district that was overwhelmingly white in its make up he won nonetheless. This in and of itself should put to rest the notion of white racism so readily talked about in liberal circles. My guess however is that the white progressives i.e. the democrats who made up the KKK will spin it otherwise. For an African American to actually get the fact that limited government and fiscal responsibility makes sense just doesn't serve their statist (and racist) agenda all that well.

Allen West will very likely be a great Congressman. He may very well be amongst the best the GOP has to offer on a national ticket in 2012. He sure as hell has more real life experience and a love of country than the current occupant of the Oval Office has or likely ever will.

  1. Lieutenant Colonel West's election is a testament to Dr. MLK's real dream of a color blind society. He, along with Representative-Elect Tim Scott in South Carolina, will offer black Americans a real alternative to the racial diviseness offered by liberals, the democrats, and the NAACP. Congratulations to both men!

  2. I love this man, his ideals, integrity and principles! I would follow him anywhere he wanted to lead. I agree with his approach to running for Congress, I agree with his message, I agree with his optimism. And it's all based in reality! Imagine if THIS black man had been elected president? How much different the country would be...

Barack Obama has no idea what it means to unite our country and to move us into a post-racial era. Divide, divide, divide is this president's method of operation. It would be very refreshing to have a black president that looks beyond race and recognizes the power of the individual and the free market.

  4. Can you just imagine how much different things would be right now, if this man were POTUS? Lt.Col West is a patriot and understands what service to country really means. I know he only just won a seat in the U.S. House, but I hope he has much higher aspirations. I would be so proud for this man to be my President.

  5. Obama should hang his head in shame, holding his manhood cheap, in the presence of men like LTC West.

We don't need curtain-hanging pansies representing us abroad. The rest of the world is laughing at us, and him.

We need to send Obama back to Chicago on Amtrak.

  7. Andrew Breitbart thinks West is presidential material:

Allen West is ready to be president TODAY -- he got 22 years of executive experience the same way Dwight Eisenhower did: in the U.S. Army.

We are at war; we've got a Neville Chamberlain in the White House; we would be crazy if we did not elect, at our earliest opportunity, the once-in-a-lifetime leader, the modern-day Winston Churchill, that God has graciously given us!
