(VIDEO)"Bearded Marxist" Chris Coons and Christine O'Donnell Debate

by the Left Coast Rebel

After a plethora of character assassinations, Delaware senate candidate Christine O'Donnell emerges as a great debater, speaker and one with an ability to communicate the tea party cause. In particular, I love how she throws back "bearded Marxist" Coons attack right back at him:

Samuel Gonzalez at Last Tradition
summarizes her performance:

This was a very deft performance by Christine O’Donnell who didn’t fall in the usual Liberal marginalization trap-Do you believe in evolution? I’ve seen Conservatives stumble over this question for years, but O’Donnell brought it to where the issues should be and stayed on message and rightly nailed Coons who is as Far left a candidate as you can get.

Updated: As I watched most of the debate between the Bearded Marxist and O'Donnell, I came away thinking that it was the worst-moderated debate I have ever seen. More of a show trial, and a tit-for-tat from moderators and the Bearded Marxist versus O'Donnell than an introduction to here for Delaware voters. judge for yourself, here is the full video of Chris Coons/Christine O'Donnell debate:

  1. I think she dropped the ball on the Supreme Court question considering her past on MTV. Roe V. Wade should have been her obvious answer.

  2. Roe v. Wade is not in any sense a recent decision, unless you're really old.

So, yes, she dropped the ball (given that the question was asked of Palin, she should have been ready for it), but the only suggestions for what she should have said that I've seen so far are Roe v. Wade (not recent) and Kelo (which I would have loved to have heard her mention, but it's really inside-baseball--and arguably not recent, either, since the context was right after a discussion of Citizens United).
