If Republicans are Doing so Poorly in California then why Does Dianne Feinstein think things look "Bad"?

by the Left Coast Rebel

California senator Dianne Feinstein went off the record in a rare moment of honesty while stumping for Barbara Boxer on Monday:

(SFGate) Feinstein was at a campaign event for Sen. Barbara Boxer in San Jose, and was asked by KTVU's Randy Shandobil how things were going, and she replied, "bad."

Interesting. The KTVU guy pressed Feinstein a bit more and she walked things back just a bit:

(SFGate) Shandobil asked whether Feinstein meant in the House, which Democrats are widely expected to lose, and Feinstein didn't answer. Later, after the event, she (un)clarified this much: "I think the prevailing view is, and I don't think this is necessarily correct, is that it's a very difficult time, there's no question about that."
It is interesting to note Sen. Dianne Feinstein's initial "bad" honesty. It is anyone's guess as to whether she was referencing Boxer's run (or other CA Dems, or the national scene) as being in the "bad" column. Being that she is co-chair of the Boxer campaign, one can assume that she was referencing Barbara Boxer's candidacy.

Is co-chair Feinstein privy to polling that is less suspect than the USC/L.A. Times poll?

Or is a tight race "bad"?

Updated: Bad in the House. I watched the video (h/t Ed Morrissey) and Feinstein was definitely referring to the House of Representatives. Click the image to watch:

Updated x2: Another interesting tidbit gleaned from the video above (0:30 on the needle) is that Feinstein noted that the last minute GOP ad-blitz effort leading up to November 2 may help Carly Fiorina.

This may be true but the wild card, unfortunately, is the fact that Fiorina is off the campaign trail due to an infection, a complication from her double masectomy last year. Her campaign is saying that she will return to the campaign trail later this week but that remains to be seen.
