This story is still breaking, ABC News:
Pentagon Police announced today that someone fired several rounds at the Pentagon early this morning and at least two of the bullets struck the building. No one was hurt.
The rounds struck a portion of the building that is unoccupied because it's under construction. Both rounds remain embedded in the building's bulletproof glass.
The incident began at 4:55am when a Pentagon police officer reported what he thought were five to seven gunshots in the building's vast south parking Lot. The lot and entrances to the building were closed, but after nothing was found, everything was re-opened at 5:30am.
