Cracking under the Pressure? -- Obama Blames Congress for Woes then Leaves on 4th Vacation in One Month

Many Democrats in Congress are fighting for their political lives this November, particularly because of the failed statist Obama agenda, increased unemployment due to failed economic policy and uncertainty in the business community caused by Obama. Many have the sense that Obama has essentially left them high and dry, exposed and without any cover.

I wonder how they now feel about him blaming them for poor job numbers?

And as Rome burns and Congress is blamed for Obama's floundering agenday, King-O heads out on another vacation (to ask for money from wealthy liberal donors).

I thought everything was Bush's fault?

WEST TISBURY - Welcome to Martha’s Vineyard, Mr. President - but don’t go in the water!

President Obama, who took a plunge in the Gulf last week to show Americans it was safe to swim the oil spill-plagued area, arrived on this supposedly pristine island yesterday in the midst of a rash of bacteria-induced beach closings.

Portions of Tisbury Great Pond, the salt-water lagoon fronting the first family’s vacation estate Blue Heron Farm, were closed earlier this week due to high levels of enterococci, an indicator that the water is contaminated with fecal coliform bacteria. Ew.

Updated x2: John Galt at Robbing America has a great piece up, "Elected by Majority, Governing for the Minority" that touches on the Obama theme above:

Obama vs. The American People – the Historic Division of Views and Principles.
President Obama was elected by a majority of 52% of all Americans against 48% that opposed his election.
Since then this President has amassed a perfect record of favoring every piece of legislation, social issue or cultural preference that the majority that elected him opposes. It is an unprecedented decoupling of a president and the majority of his people that have never been seen before in the 232 years of the nation’s existence – not in the absolute degree that we are experiencing today.

Even though a few of us saw it coming during the 2008 campaign leading to the election, the majority of Americans bought into the array of beautiful words and delivery style of a man whose experience and qualifications were vague, to say the least. Americans are not easily bamboozled. They do not need to hear ‘elect me and I will work against you’ or ‘trust me and I will ruin you’ before they figure out a fast talking politician. But these were extraordinary times that came during a dramatic junction in history of calamitous economic stress. It did not matter that this economic debacle had been stewing in the pot since 1992 and was not really caused by the President in office at the time (we deal with this in another essay). It is fair to say that cause and effect is never in synk during an election year. The last man standing gets the boot in the musical-chairs game.
Never in the annals of a great democracy
have so few imposed their will on so many.

  1. He's one press conference away from having a nervous breakdown. Saw it coming from a million miles away, he's too delicate, once the Super Obama facade began to crumble and people expected him to actually do his job....well it's all been downhill. I'd feel sorry for him if I didn't loathe him so much.
