A Bitter, Clinger, Redux

by the Left Coast Rebel

A bitter, clinger, redux (Politico):

Obama, speaking with NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams on Sunday afternoon, was equally dismissive of conservative talk show host Glenn Beck – saying he didn’t watch the Fox host’s Saturday rally in Washington but wasn’t surprised that Beck was able to “stir up” people during uncertain economic times.
It's quite obvious that Obama is hardly the genius philosopher king that the left and ruling class sold him as. Has this man ever heard of the term no comment?

Why would he even have an opinion on an event that he had no idea the content of and no interest in discovering? It makes him look like an idiot as the Restoring Honor rally was far less political and more of a call for spiritual renewal in the nation. Also, the dismissive and scolding tone (and it's hardly a first) from this man is quite bizarre.

That's leadership, Democrats?

Obama - the best gift to the conservative cause in this nation's history (if we can fiscally and Constitutionally survive Him).

Via Memeorandum.

Updated: I didn't see this, Professor Jacobson sees this as a bitter-clinging moment as well:

Obama was interviewed by Brian Williams yesterday. Once again, Obama exhibited the sort of disdain towards a substantial portion of the population as he did in his bitter clinger comments back in 2008.Thus, in his dismissive tone, Obama once again reduced opposition to his policies to nothing more than mob rule, or worse.

Obama doesn't seem to realize that his dismissive comments and attitude are undermining his presidency as much as his policies. Obama just can't see opposition as anything other than the mob.

But Obama's mob now constitutes a plurality if not an outright majority of the population.

Awesome political strategy Obama has here - if you disagree with my policies, you are part of the mob (and too stupid to understand how superior I am). If you think about it, that sounds a lot like a dictator or a third tier, banana republic authoritarian figure, no?

  1. President Obama didn't actually see the rally or hear what Glenn Beck had to say, but he knows Glenn Beck's "type"...

You're totally right. Obama believes only in himself and his failing policies. He's the best thing to happen to America since Ronald Reagan followed Jimmy Carter (Barack Obama preview)
