Paypal Cuts off Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs for ''hate''

by the Left Coast Rebel

Reaganite has the scoop on the story that broke last night, apparently Paypal sent Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs fame a notice that they are shutting her account down due to "hate":

Paypal has taken on a political agenda apparently... one where truth is now the new "hate"

Pamela Gellar has been told that her account will be closed if she does not remove the PP app from her famed Atlas Shrugs political blog- named of-course for Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged". The site is based out of NYC, and if you're not familar has a particular focus on fighting terrorism and illegal immigration.

Reaganite has more on the story, be sure to read the rest. My take is this. Paypal is privately owned therefore they should be free to service, or not, any customer. However, if Paypal is to use the so-called "hate" card against sites like Pamela Geller and Atlas Shrugs then why do they partner up with a radical site Revolution Muslim.com (just as an example)? Revolution Muslim.com is the site that ran the not-so-veiled threat against the lives of South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and as you can clearly see their is the Paypal widget (screenshot, bottom left):

Based on the example above alone I would say that Paypal's actions are Orwellian at best and kow-towing to jihadist-sympathizing pressure at worst. I'm sure that one could find hundreds of examples of sites that Paypal partners up with that would be considered 'hate' by someone.

But then again, my version of free speech is the statist/socialist/liberal/progressive's 'hate' speech.

Support Pamela Geller here. Also read RSM's American Spectator piece here. Via Memeorandum.

UPDATED: Obama admits to being a Muslim? Also at Atlas read "I am a Muslim," Obama Tells Egyptian Foreign Minister Gheit Islamic Coup on the White House.
Decide for yourself if the story is legit. As for me, I need video to confirm this although I suspect that anything is possible.

UPDATED x2: Stogie at Saberpoint put his mouth where his Paypal money is and writes a letter to the company. Read it and do the same!

UPDATED x3: LCR reader Nan S. writes:

E-bay owns Paypal. Ebay's founder and CEO is Iranian; it's a publicly-held company and you'd think that an American company would uphold American principles but when its founder is likely Muslim...

Ebay also owns Skype and other businesses.
Can you say "Atlas Shrugs Boycott?"

  4. That's it! We'll NEVER use PayPal again!! may they crash and burn (how's that for *hate* speech!).

PS: Someone has determined that Obama was NOT born in Hawaii. Did you read about that? Time to impeach this trainwreck and get him out of the WH.

  5. ..this is not a big deal. Like I said on Opie's site: just use PayPal to pay for a 9 pound honey baked ham to be delivered to the mosque of your choice -- preferably the one being constructed on the twin towers ground zero site..

    ..game over.

  6. There are different kinds of hate. You can hate a person, job, what is happening or what a person or group of people are doing.
I do not hate Obama, I hate what he is doing! As I do not really like Muslim people, but I do not hate them. But I do hate what I believe their agenda is...
I have seen Pamela's site and I agree with her. Is it possible that Pay-pal is in violation of law? Aren't they engaging in a type of hate?
