How about this. At a certain point, a Federal government has assumed enough control over a free people. How about, at a certain point, a single President has 'concentrated' enough power and wealth?
How close is, "I don't want to punish your success, I just want to spread the wealth" to "I do think at a certain point you've made enough money?"
Different sides to the same coin of non-teleprompter moments - what do you think:
Ed Morrissey via Hot Air gives us the quote of the day:
In a properly regulated capitalist system, the natural tension of self-interests create economic growth through innovation and efficient use of capital and resources.I disagree a bit with Ed Morrissey, though. I think that the Obamanation has absolutely no trouble understanding 'that.'Put simply, a free people work for themselves, not for the government. Barack Obama seems to have a problem understanding that.
