Dan Rather's Watermelon Moment Redux: Dan Rather Responds to Watermelon/Obama Comment

by the Left Coast Rebel

Since the Left Coast Rebel broke the Dan Rather 'watermelon' story alongside Rush Limbaugh, there has been a steady stream of "Dan Rather Watermelon" googlers to LCR. And it's not because it is the biggest story in the world right now, it's because people are insatiably interested in the hypocrisy of limousine-liberals like Dan Rather. The same liberals that would call for a conservative's head (or public hanging) should said conservative mention Barack Obama with a 'selling watermelons' analogy. I say liberal-leftists like Dan Rather live by the sword therefore should die by the sword. I don't feel sorry for him, sorry Ann.

But on the other hand, perhaps Dan Rather's 'watermelon confession' today summed up his entire career and that of the entire government/media liberal industrial complex:

(Politico.com) "What saddens me is what this experience has made all too clear," says Dan Rather, who compared President Obama's difficulty with pushing health care reform to being unable to sell watermelons "Much of what we call news, isn't. Much of what we Tweet, or post, or chat away at under the guise of news, are distractions."

Note the liberal condescension as well that you and I are 'tweeting, chattering, blah, blah, blah things that are not ordained 'news' by the government/liberal media complex. Rather thinks you are a moron and the only news fit to be discussed should cross the information threshold of liberal elitists first!
