‘Conservative’ David Frum advises the Republicans to bore the electorate into voting ‘R’

Posted by Conservative Generation for Left Coast Rebel

The 'Big' Republican echo is back from the dead. We haven’t heard it in a long time. It was around the time Obama took office that David Frum and other ‘Big’ Republicans told the center-right nation to roll over for Obama. A month later Obama siezed the car companies in the biggest government take over of the private sector, that is until last nights bill. Despite being wrong over the last year and a half, Apostate David Frum is back and the former Bush writer has brought back his Bushlosophy to the mainstream media. According to Frum, passage of Obamacare was the Republican waterloo, now his big solution?

1) Repeal healthcare surtax in favor of a Carbon Tax
2) End employment based health care
3) Reduce regulation inside the health care exchanges, but not repeal Obamacare
4) Repeal a small business fine that is mandated in the bill

Quick note, Frum was not a fan of my piece earlier today. I couldn’t be happier about it! Frum on CNN (LCR reaction here):

Now the overheated talk is about to get worse. Over the past 48 hours, I've heard conservatives compare the House bill to the Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854 -- a decisive step on the path to the Civil War. Conservatives have whipped themselves into spasms of outrage and despair that block all strategic thinking.

Now David, you really think that what you just said above is good “strategic thinking?” You want to bore the American citizenry into voting “R?” That’s the big solution? When the base on the right is energized and the American public has turned sour on Obama over his health care insurrection, you think that providing a different shade of Red is the solution?

Luckily, David Frum is a lone, buzzing political horse fly being amplified out of proportion by a media that knows he is pushing a losing proposition. It wasn’t cap and trade nor was it reducing Obamacare regulation that won Scott Brown an election. Thank God David Frum wasn’t there to provide Scott Brown with sage “strategic advice.” Could you imagine Scott Brown winning an election with a platform of, “Send me to Washington so I can work really hard for Obamacare lite!” If you want to guarantee a Republican Waterloo, by all means David Frum is your political strategist.

  1. Frum is one of Obama's uselful idiots. Frum provides suicidal strategy for the GOP. He's certainly not a conservative. On the day of our great defeat, Frum presented this argument:

The GOP should have cooperated with the Dems. The Republicans could have negotiated a plan more like RomneyCare…which is almost exactly like ObamaCare.

    FANTASTIC strategy.
