Sarah Palin Tea Party Speech Reaction: What's Your Reaction? WATCH LIVE VIDEO

by the Left Coast Rebel

I liked it, I loved it, I caught the folksy charm and the appeal of Sarah Palin in her speech to Tea Party folks at the National Tea Party Convention in Tennessee tonight. I caught several policy specifics, I caught a distinct alternative to statism and Obama/Pelosi/Reid. I heard things that the average American can grasp, 'cling' to, hold onto hope for. Watch the entire video 5 part series here.

In true Palin style she sounded patriotic and religious. In a tone that progressive statists like Obama would run from she sounded proud to be an American. She thanked God for the Tea Party people and chastised Washington DC for the bankrupting 'generational theft' and bloated (non) transparent bureaucracy. She wished Ronald Wilson Reagan a happy 99th birthday and alluded to the fact that, although he has passed, his ideas and passions for America (and what we believe) have not. She spoke to the 'shining city on a hill' that I alluded to earlier today as well.

And boy did she throw it back at the Obama team for their lack of focus, coherency, vision and strength in regard to the worldwide cancer of radical islamic jihadism. She ripped the Obamanation for cozying up to dictators all-too cozyly, for apologizing for this country instead of defending Her and for the unprecedented, unilateral boondoggle of the Christmas day panty bomber. Did I miss anything? Not presidential-aspiration material?

A fascinating evening, I am glad that I had the chance to watch her speech.

  1. Difference between USSR Communist media and USA "mainstream media"

In Russia government make media say what they want - even if lie.

In USA "mainstream media" try make government what they want - even if lie..

    .....eventually they become same thing?!

Old Russian saying You can tell same lie 1000 time but not change truth!

    Salute Ms Sarah!!!

Only someone trying to sodomize America would call these people "teabaggers"

  2. Hey Rebel.. just wanted you to know that I linked to your post with the YouTube clips of Palin's speech in an opinion piece I did on the subject.

  3. I think one of the BEST remarks from Sarah's keynote speech was this:

[In the war on terror, Palin said] “we need a Commander-in-Chief not a professor of law standing at the lectern.”

  4. My reaction is, will the GOP listen?I am not sure...I think it will be like the co-opting of the Socons in 2000. The GOP elite don't want to give up control of a sinking ship. Being the default response to the dems is not the best position as people are weary of the lesser of the two evils. Something lost on Mr. Potato head, who hopes this goes away after 2010.
