Just How Radically Anti-business is the Obama Administration? Toyota May Have the Answer

by the Left Coast Rebel

So many of the things that the Left Coast Rebel points to regarding just how radically anti-enterprise, anti-capitalist, anti-market the Obama administration is are anecdotal. This story that I am reading at Politico, is not.

Internal Toyota documents derided the Obama administration and Democratic Congress as “activist” and “not industry friendly," a revelation that comes days before the giant automaker's top executives testify on Capitol Hill amid a giant recall.

According to a presentation obtained under subpoena by the House Oversight and Government Relations committee, Toyota referred to the “changing political environment” as one of its main challenges and anticipated a "more challenging regulatory" environment under the Obama administration's purview.

The “Activist Administration & Congress – increasing laws & regulations” is listed as one of “Toyota Challenges,” as is “Massive government support for Detroit automakers.”

You can read the Toyota memo here that calls out the activist, anti-business Democrats. Gateway Pundit grabbed a nice screen shot of one of the pages too:

Much of the malaise, misery and unemployment in the economy today is precisely because of the Obama White House and radical anti-capitalist Congress. For ever action that they take to supposedly 'fix' things, they delay recovery and stimie business pursuits. I can't wait for the conservative resurgence of November, 2010.

  1. I heard a news story about the Toyota recalls today. Apparently there was an agreement reached with Toyota and our government about the size and scope of the Toyota recall. After the drive-by-media got their greasy paws on this story the spin is that Toyota put profits ahead of safety. This may of may not be true, and I have not had time to dig into the guts of this story, but what I did find telling is that even if this is true it could not have been accomplished without he collusion of our benevolent civil-masters. Strangely enough, I heard nothing any fault that should rightly fall on the heads of civil-masters. The media was eerily silent on the government's part in all of this debacle. Another attack on our capitalist system by a bunch of hostile leftists intent on destroying our nation.

  2. November can't come soon enough. The Obama wrecking ball is swinging freely at industry. They forget who actually pays taxes. And it ain't government. Government employees are paid by taxes from private industry. But try to explain that to the statist.
