All in not All and Well on the Al Gore Frontier: Al Gore Faces Criticism at Apple Shareholder Meeting (Was LCR in there?)

by the Left Coast Rebel

Faster than you could say 'boo', Al Gore's global warming chicken little alarmist antics are being greeted with skepticism and/or hostility, as he/they should. Today's Apple shareholder meeting was not exception. Apple is known for it's eco-sensitivity and 'sustainable' mantra and such. It is part of their image in urban circles and what-not. Did you know that Al Gore is on the Apple Board of Directors. Anyway and regardless, listen to this, via. Cnet:

Gore was seated in the first row, along with his six fellow board members, in Apple's Town Hall auditorium as several stockholders took turns either bashing or praising his high-profile views on climate change.

At the first opportunity for audience participation just several minutes into the proceeding, a longtime and well-known Apple shareholder--some would say gadfly--who introduced himself as Shelton Ehrlich, stood at the microphone and urged against Gore's re-election to the board. Gore "has become a laughingstock. The glaciers have not melted," Ehrlich said, referring to Gore's views on global warming. "If his advice he gives to Apple is as faulty as his views on the environment then he doesn't need to be re-elected."

Wow! I would have loved to have seen this! To imagine the look on Al Gore's face at this brave man's statement. Awesome!

  1. I heard someone say that God is trying to make Al Gore say "uncle!" and that's why the snow keeps comin'! Well....obviously, he isn't about to give up his little cash cow. BUT....public opinion is turning because of the scandals and because of the proof right out their front door in piles and piles of snow.

I remember when I was in grade school, us poor little skulls full of mush were taught that we were destroying the sun and that we would freeze as the earth went into a "new ice age"...lost some sleep over that one as a kid.

So now when I hear drones like Al Gore talk about destroying the ozone and the like, I say bring it on! Meanwhile, we can watch how Al actually LIVES to prove to ourselves that he doesn't actually believe a word he's saying!

  2. Ehrlich's *itch slap must have stung. All that semi-public humiliation. Its not fair! He's entitled not to be made fun of because, well, he's AL GORE, GOSH GOLLY and he cares about the world. Bwahahahahaha....

It still really boggles the mind how any serious person could unquestioningly take the word of a serial graduate school dropout (Divinity & Law, which really aren't wildly difficult subjects) on a matter of extreme scientific complexity such as Climate studies?
