The Empire State Building, icon of American capitalism, ingenuity, freedom and free-enterprise; the tallest building in Manhattan since the World-Trade Towers were downed by terrorists.....

5 men lost their lives to the cause.

Built during the Great Depression no-less.

An achievement of American competiveness.....

Will be lit tonight, all night; in honor of the 60th Anniversary of the People's Republic of China. Yes, you read that right, the 60th anniversary of The Peoples Republic of China.

The 60th Anniversary of a revolution that killed millions and heralded a regime that still persecutes it's own people today; an affront to any freedom-loving/human-rights concerned-citizen. Perhaps the Fox News story above got it wrong though. Perhaps the Empire State Building's new Red hue.......

Is a celebration of the election of our Obamanation.

As Griper opines in the commentary here, Red is the color of blood. So I am asking any reader that sees a picture of the Empire State Building in Red, or lives nearby, think of the blood shed for the most evil ideology that has ever cursed mankind. For the enslavement and slaughter of millions under the guise of such. And for our own so-called useful-idiot intellectual American class that would willingly do the same to us.

Also, I refuse to place a picture of the Empire Building here in red, I have visited and gazed from atop it the building in awe, blood-spray light across her is something that I never wish to see.

We live in uparalleled and evil times.

Wes over at The Humble Libertarian caught this post, linked LCR and brilliantly opined -

It's also a symbolic act of moral capitulation to a violent, ignoble revolution, from the very height of the monolith that represents the world's truest, most enlightened, most noble political and economic revolution itself:Capitalism.

This speaks volumes about the level of moral decadence and political ignorance in the West today. Just as a bright and promising future rises from the ashes of Chinese communism, we celebrate the ashes.

Even more telling, is that the Empire State Building determined to celebrate the
Communist Revolution in China last night by lighting up in red, but did not
bother to celebrate the Constitutional Republican Revolution in America by
lighting up in red, white, and blue last month for Constitution Day.

I am suspect and suspicious of everything that I see and read today. Case in point the last post that I did, the Mr. John L. Perry of Newsmax; something seemed a little 'fishy' to me, (to borrow a White House term). Cliff over at Another Black Conservative left me a little note on Perry, that he had extensive Democrat ties. Really, I thought, this guy that just wrote up the Military Intervention article?

So the first place that I headed over to was the horse 'o the mouth itself, as the say - NewsMax.com. From the author's page at the site -

Of Obama Coups, Dictatorships, Military Intervensions

Today's headlines at the top of the news site Memeorandum may be the most startling I have come across.

First off, we have far-left nutjob, wingnut, Mr. Gore Vidal in the Times of London waxing non-poetically and unflatteringly about the Obamanation. He took part in a frank discussion with the Times.

In between ramblings in the interview, (gay-love with 100 men before age 25, Timothy McVeigh being a hero?!?!, American stupidity, the war on terror being a plot, myriad nonsense), you find the meat and potatoes, this -

"America has no intellectual class and is rotting away at a funereal
pace. We’ll have a military dictatorship fairly soon, on the basis that nobody else can hold everything together. Obama would have been better off focusing on educating the American people."

So according to the most radical leftists amongst us, (given that Gore is certified), we are heading to a military dictatorship because we as Americans simply won't accept the Obamanation Marxist agenda. Or is it that we are too stupid to be governed civilly, civically, democratically? You tell me. Who will instigate this dictatorship? Simply preposterous. Read the entire piece, if you must.

Next up, I bring you John L. Perry of NewsMax, heralding a piece titled Obama Risks a Domestic Military 'Intervention'. My link for this title is the Google cache mirror of the piece, the article was removed from NewsMax.com minutes ago. He starts off with this -

There is a remote, although gaining, possibility America’s military will intervene as a last resort to resolve the “Obama problem.” Don’t dismiss it as unrealistic.

America isn’t the Third World. If a military coup does occur here it will be civilized. That it has never happened doesn’t mean it wont.
Describing what may be afoot is not to advocate it. So, view the following through military eyes:

He lists these bullet points -

• Officers swear to “support and defend the Constitution
  of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” Unlike
  enlisted personnel, they do not swear to “obey the orders of the president of the United States.”
  
• Top military officers can see the Constitution they are sworn to defend as being trampled on.

• They can see that Americans are increasingly alarmed that this nation, under President Barack Obama, may not even be recognizable as America by the 2012 election, in which he will surely seek continuation in office.

• They can see that the economy — ravaged by deficits, taxes, unemployment, and impending inflation — is financially reliant on foreign lender governments.

• They can see this president waging undeclared war on the intelligence community, without whose rigorous and independent functions the armed services are rendered blind in an ever-more hostile world overseas and at home.

• They can see the dismantling of defenses against missiles targeted at this nation by avowed enemies, even as America’s troop strength is allowed to sag.

• They can see the horror of major warfare erupting simultaneously in two, and possibly three, far-flung theaters before America can react in time.

• They can see the nation’s safety and their own military establishments and honor placed in jeopardy as never before.

My two cents on this now, that's why you are here after all, right?

I find it interesting that Mr. Perry correctly states that America is not a 3rd tier nation, yet he opens up the possibility of a 3rd World-type military intervention. And while he doesn't precisely support such, he seemingly doesn't downplay it as well. And although I certainly think that the Obamanation agenda is radical, Marxian, extra-Constitutional and reliant on a myriad of shadow-government activities; a coup d'état necessitates that we have truly lost our country, something that I fail to see, and is a preposterous delusion.

After all, in a little over a year we have an election coming up. The will of We the People will be heard. Coup-talk just plays into the hand of every nut and fruit that actually does want to take your freedom and rights from you.

Alan Grayson Re: GOP Health Plan - Die Quickly

If you recall during the Obamanation joint session used-car salesman health care speech, a lone voice, (if not ill-timed and against congressional rules), uttered, "You Lie" in retort to the toothy-salesman's lies. Much as the case with the Polanski collective Defense the Rapist Fund, the disturbing media take was that which truly had me flummoxed. The MSM treated the Wilson flap as if it were the century-coronation, the rallying cry, the Crucifixion to perform an unceasing rain dance in circle of. Our state-press is just that, head-hunting leftist savages in search of a smidgeon of dissent; the brevity and degree at which they come to this is both shocking and at times mind-boggling. Bias and lack of balance know no boundary in our state-press, never a right turn.

This theme brings me to a video of a certain Rep. Alan Grayson D/Florida and his recent speech on the House floor, no-less. A summation of the GOP's health plan and frankly anyone opposed to a health takeover? Don't get sick and a simple Die Quickly will do just fine -

Where was Grayson on the news of massive Democrat majorites in the legislative branch? In the White House? Does anyone realize that it matters not what republicans want or say anyway?

And frankly, it matters to me not that this Grayson would say this, as ridiculous as it is. And no, readers, it is not an abridgement of Congressional rule as the Wilson shout-out was. Regardless and after all, remember that any critic of the Obamanation or liberal/progressive/socialist agenda is a Raaaaacist.......

But the press, where is the press? Where is the equal-coronation with stories like this? Like Pelsosi saying that conservatives are inciting violence? Harry Reid's Evil Mongers? Dozens of other examples?

All I hear are crickets and chatter........... of Joe Wilson.

Al Franken and ACORN - Frankensteinish Voter Fraud?

Many months ago I was aware that ACORN was intimately involved with Al Franken(stein) and all of the bizarre details that I had passed by re: the close Senate race made that abundantly clear.

James over @ Reaganite Republican Resistance emailed me today on some developments re: the Franken/ACORN topic that he wrote up, and as he says in the comment section....the whole thing stinks like trash-truck juice.

I would add to that, trash-truck juice in Mexico.

James points us to Minnesota's Star-Tribune piece today -

But ACORN does have a special place in its heart for at least one prominent Minnesota politician. Last year, it showered praise on Al Franken, endorsing his run for the U.S. Senate. Franken returned the esteem: "I'm thrilled and honored to receive this endorsement," he gushed in a press release. He added that he was "more motivated than ever to work with ACORN."...

Here in Minnesota, ACORN has boasted of playing a major role in the 2008 elections. It claims to have registered 43,000 new voters, which it describes as 75 percent of the state's new registrations. Franken's margin of victory in the Senate race was razor-thin: 312 votes out of about 3 million cost. And Minnesota's laws on proof of voter eligibility are notoriously loose.

Hollywood and the Huffington Post Unite Around Polanski

First off and before I go off the deep-end into this post, I want to wish a happy millionth b-day to William Jacobson over @ Legal Insurrection. William gave the Left Coast Rebel a nod in his writeup this morning regarding his million visit turn, as well as blogo-buddy Cliff over at Another Black Conservative. Wow!

Turning to the center of this piece now, motivated by the Pajamas video below - I come to Hollyweird and the degenerate, communist, vacuous, miscreant, libtard-left. Mind you I am not implicating all of Hollywood here, just Hollyweird.

The hit-list begins with today's current malfeasance, Hollyweird's insufferable ease with condoning and promoting the indefensible. Yes folks, Roman Polanski raped a child. And no Hollyweird, your collective defense of Polanski is not indicative of high-brow intelligentsia. It is indicative of the tragic, soul-pollutant of your culture, the end-result of moral relativism and degeneracy knowing no bounds.

Frankly I did not know of or give a damn about this Polanski character until the recent news. And it wasn't the recent news that brought his name to my psyche nor was it that he raped a child. Rather it was not even that but the fact that there are those amongst us that draw clemency to that. Huff-Po being the best example, showing the moral component behind the religion of liberalism, an amazing sight to behold.

There is a Good vs. Evil dynamic in our culture, (played out in politics, in the realm of ideas and actions), thank you Huff-Po for pointing to this. I am repulsed.

Yes I am repulsed by Hollyweird and liberal politics, the deviancy on display. Perhaps beyond child-rapists and their defenders and enablers on the left, even more ire should be directed towards communists in Hollywood. Yes they cover and duck under the veil of progressivism and the Democrat party, special interest groups and seemingly benign sounding projects and group-identities....

Nonetheless their tenuous associations belie their identity. Folks that think the defense of one that is a child rapist is somehow morally feasable. Folks that think that totalitarian dictators with blood on their hands are chique. The idiocy of Hollyweird elitists that would have their own throats slit in a split second by those that they pow-wow with, if not for their useful-iditoness.

When I first entered the blogo-world, of the many voices that I came across, one in particular stood out to me. He seemed to have a vision of the basic essence of the American experiment and the struggle to retain that vision. He had a wonderful way of spreading that vision through eloquently simple vision-stories. And as stunning as his writing, (story-telling greatness), and vision was, The Griper disappeared from cyberspace, whispers of his stories carried by the wind......






Only to realign, reacquaint, reaffirm....






Contacting the Left Coast Rebel, leaving a simple comment on one of my pieces; the Griper had returned with sharpened-pen. A catastrophic-pc nightmare, (of electronic, not political nature), was the cause of his post-pen-man status, it seemed. I was excited, I raced through space, (of the cyber-kind) and found him to be in true form, much-missed and certain to encourage thought. So I turn you to his latest piece.


Individualism, What Does it Mean?

I asked grandpa to read an assignment that I had written for one of my classes. This is what he read,

“Individualism, what does it mean? First of all it means that I am a person with attributes that makes me unique. It does not allow me to label myself as a black man, a white man or a man of any color. The color of my skin is only an additional characterization of my individualism. The same can be said of my gender, age and any other attribute that I possess.

Individualism allows me to associate with other individuals but it doesn’t allow me to identify with any other persons other than members of my family. This particular bond is a bond that is only determinable by a union of marriage. If we are to declare that the family is the foundation of any society then we must also declare that marriage is the foundation upon which a family is recognized.

Individualism recognizes the need to place the rights of the individual above the rights of the collective. The reasoning for this is simple. The collective can have no rights if the individuals associated with that collective have no rights. All rights begin and end with the individual.

Individualism recognizes the need to accept responsibility for one’s own needs and the needs of those dependent upon the person. Individualism recognizes that to accept the responsibility of the needs of another other than those dependent upon him is an act of charity and not an obligation.

Individualism does not recognize the concept of equality. In fact, he abhors the idea for he knows that within the concept of equality there must also be a loss of liberty. With the loss of liberty he knows he is deserving of being treated as nothing but property whose only purpose in life is to provide for the needs of the collective.

Individualism recognizes the value of self-reliance. Individualism recognizes the value of tolerance. Individualism recognizes the value of the need for compassion but seeks no man’s pity nor does he envy the success of others.

Individualism knows that the rewards of success, whether it is modest or grand, will only come from within one's self, thus, never can be bought. It is the individual who knows that privacy is the cornerstone of the freedom of association, not access.”

When grandpa had finished reading he just looked at me with a big grin and said,

“ Boy, regardless of the grade your teacher gives you on this, I know that the farm and your grandmother will be in good hands after I have ended my time here on this earth.”

This one not quite as shocking, another video has surfaced via Youtube of children singing to (then), newly elected Obama. Uploaded this month and filmed on November 4 2008, this isn't quite as Orwellian, (consent of parents withstanding), it still seems overtly political and bizarre, (Yes We Can?), the children holding up posters of leftist activists, the child with the Obama shirt......this is still disturbing to me......and the rooster at the end???.......

Michael Moore - Capitalism

A teachable moment -


First off a quote from Ayn Rand -

"Capitalism is a social system based on the recognition of
individual rights, including property rights, in which all property is privately owned."

Now a quote from Moore -

"At one point...capitalism wasn't a bad idea because it allowed people to invest in things that they wanted to support.....we're way beyond on that now, down on Wall Street, they're not making anything, they're just moving money around.....we suffer as a society as a result of that....instead of finding a cure for cancer....it, (Wall Street, capitalism), is highly destructive to our society."

Ok dear reader, I get it, do you? Note the disjointed reasoning, that it is one or the other; that either our best and brightest are pursuing greed via. capitalism or they are searching for the cure for cancer. See how emotionalism is inherent in leftism, those that drink of the murky goblet of progressivism? Capitalism is evil, it is mean. It's a zero-sum game. For one to win, another must lose. A system of 'greed' that must be torn down.

Dismantling capitalism is a zero-sum game, as it will need a replacement.Think of that. And with this replacement will come a system not of rules and law but of men.

So in this spirit, I have a few questions for the Moores of the world, being that they inhabit the Oval Office and Congress. Also, read C-gen's piece that is the inspiration for this post here.

• If capitalism is as evil and destructive as your mentor Moore claims, then explain to me how a country built on capitalism, free enterprise and individual rights came to be the most successful country in the history of the world?


• If our free-market system is destructive then what do you deem should take it's place? Communism? Fascism? Socialism? What makes you think that central planning works? Give me historical examples.


• Capitalism is a system of individual rights. Are you willing to give up your individual rights to jettison capitalism? Are you willing to forgo 100% of your paycheck?

Capitalism breeds the need for psychotherapy. Oh the horror of competition. A promotional picture taken from Moore's website, right next to a story about Roseanne Barr standing with ACORN to stop the rightwing. I kid you not.

Update : Reader CJ, a left/libertarian kind of guy, (that I like to hear from), called me out on presenting a false dichotomy in this post and I thought that I would clarify a bit. Moore is saying in his movie, the essence of his thinking and reasoning; that capitalism is a failed system and is evil. What Moore actually points to as failed and evil is anything but capitalism. It is cronyism, bailouts, a big-government/big-business incestuous relationship bordering on the criminal. It is corporatism. As I said in the comment section here, my beef is not that he point out the fallacy of the bailout nation culture, (which I actually agree), it is that he defines that as capitalism, which it is clearly not. ACORN News - Lawsuit, Consitutionality, Harry Reid

I didn't write anything about ACORN this week, opting instead to write up an encompassing piece for the weekend. For myself and many others, the exposition of ACORN is so much bigger than ACORN itself. It's about transparency and accountability within our institutions. It's about citizen journalism taking precedence over the institutionalized corporate state-media complex. It's about simple rule of law. This response from to a new reader sums up the ACORN struggle, the stand against the corruption at every level of power -

"May we all stem the tide of this deadly cancer infecting our Republic-experiment, may we stop the storm of those who wish her ill. May we put an end forever to the ill of collectivism and the antithesis of that which our beautiful land was founded. May we band together in friendship of these common goals."

That to me is the spirit of the fight against ACORN. So in that spirit I will bring you to several updates. I'm using Biggovernmnet.com as my portal of ACORN stories, go there for any other updates.

First off I turn you to Breitbart, O'Keefe and Giles. As was predicted by many, ACORN is bringing suit against these three individuals. I could go into myriad details but instead will direct you to donate to the Legal Defense Funds of both Breitbart and Hannah Giles, O'Keefe is in the process of setting up a fund as well. Pass this along, if you could.

Next stop - the leftwing mobilized effort to call the Defund ACORN Act unconstitutional. According to the Heritage Foundation here, the Defund Act is anything but. Also, ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis is running around saying that Congressional action against the group is unconstitutional as well. How about this from her -

“One unintended - and positive - consequence of the witch hunt
against ACORN is that it could help rein in the likes of Halliburton and
Blackwater and even Wall St, if the standard is that organizations that have broken the law shouldn’t get federal money, then let’s set that standard consistently. There are numerous corporations that have been proven records of malfeasance."

Hmm, exposing ACORN's corruption could possibly shed some light on corporate welfare as well? Other incestuous arrangements with myriad organizations? I agree, how about Americans use this teachable moment with ACORN to clean out our entire system? She will learn to regret those words. Lastly for this piece, I am reading here that Nevada Senator Harry Reid is blocking an ACORN probe in the Senate. The piece also outlines much of the Nevadian malfeasance that ACORN has fostered. Apparently Reid knows who buttered his bread and is engaging in a bit of quid pro quo. From the story -

Despite all this evidence and a request in writing by 28 GOP senators -- and despite the fact the U.S. Senate voted 83-7 on Sept. 14 to block ACORN from bidding for any more federal grant money -- "Senate Democrat Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., is refusing to hold a Senate hearing on ACORN's activities," the National Republican Senatorial Committee complained Wednesday.

Mr. Reid replied additional investigations might distract lawmakers from addressing more important matters, including health care and
economic recovery.

Principal at Bernice Young Elementary Not Apologizing - Says she Would do it Again

Nothing like doubling down as they say. Dr., (no pun intended) Denise King, principal of Bernice Young elementary is defending the school's allowance of the Obama Praise song and has said that she would allow it again if she could.

It's funny, when the original Obama worship song story broke I contacted someone close to me that is a teacher. We both discussed and agreed that this issue wasn't as big of a deal if a rogue teacher was involved. Apparently that theory has gone the way of the Dodo........

Three parents told FOXNews.com that Dr. Denise King, principal
of B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, N.J., defended the controversial performance, which was videotaped and posted on YouTube, when they approached her during a "Back to School" event.

Parent Jim Angelillo said King told him the lesson was merely part of Black History month, and not an attempt to indoctrinate students, as critics have charged. He said he believes teachers have the freedom to express their political views, but not in the classroom.

King has long been a fan of Obama, hanging pictures of the
president in her school's hallways and touting her trip to his inauguration in the school yearbook.

A few days ago I asked everyone here to take part in a little poll re: a top 10 list of those on the right that we liked the least. The poll was inspired by an email from John Hawkins over @ Right Wing News requesting that I put my list of ten forward and I enthusiastically signed up. 52 blogs made the final cut, all big-boys with big-time readership.....the Left Coast Rebel smack-dab in the middle of the final linky-list in the piece.

Not to say that I am big-time but am aspiring.....

1 - President George W. Bush. The Iceberg of fiscal conservatism's Titanic.















2 - John McCain. Making his name in the press and beltway for years by giving conservatives the middle finger. This is what the press deemed maverick about him. A shock and an outrage to have him nominated. A liberal ass-grabber.













Also, one of the biggest RINOs ever.
























3 - Benedict Arnold. This is what we get with clueless, feckless, mealy-mouthed liberal pols with an 'R' next to their name. Shame on the party hierarchy for funneling money for years to this man. Shame on you.



















4 -Michael Steele. This guy is head of the RNC? A joke and a joker. Dozens of foot-in-mouth moments, not a leader.



















5 - Arnold Schwarzenegger. A total sham, governor Vulturenator. Feeding off of fiscal conservatives to get elected, only to end up wrecking the state and governing worse than his Democrat predecessor. Did you know that a vulture's head is covered with a crusty layer of skin that is impervious to infection?
























6 - Lindsey Grahamnesty. Need I say more? A RINO and a clown. A complete joke.





















7 - Sean Hannity. I know some of you may not like this but this guy is a hack in my opinion. Although I may agree with a lot of what he says, his feckless silence during the Bush big-spending orgy is inexcusable. A GOP talking head in many ways.



















8 - Olympia Snowe. Why even have a Republican Party? Why the 'R'? Name me one conservative issue that she has heralded. Name one.

So last night I had a nice little treat in my LCR inbox. Turns out it was Wes Messamore with the blog The Humble Libertarian. Wes was returning an email correspondence that I had with him fairly recently in regards to possibly putting up a guest post here at LCR.

As it turns out, Wes's email to me was fairly involved, covered several topics and also had some interesting insight and constructive feedback. In fact it was so involved that I opted to phone him with the number he provided, (no I cannot give it out, as per his request). We talked for an hour, coming away from the conversation with him I felt invigorated. "What an incredible young man", I thought, "More of a thinker and orator than I with a dozen less years....there is hope for America and liberty with young citizen-thinkers like Wes".



As a team Wes and I will be evolving the Left Coast Rebel. In fact you may have already noticed a slightly leaner site. We plan on doing more; changing the look and feel of the site eventually and taking it to the next level. As always, feel free to offer your instructive input and opinion as well.

But enough of me, back to the intent of this post. As many of you know, I am a true conservative in my heart of hearts. I am a Reagan-kid. I believe in the Constitution. I believe in the sanctity of the individual, free markets and free minds. I believe in the freedom to choose and the freedom to succeed and fail. I believe in Libertarian ideals. To me, libertarian ideals are conservative ideals.

As a dutiful reader of my site, you may note that all freedom-loving Americans are my friends. GOPers, Independents, Conservatives, Left-Libertarians, Ron Paulistas, Palin fans.....the list goes on.

But tonight I draw your attention to the young man above, a voice with a vision of youth, (he's only 22), a refreshing outlook for the cause of liberty, a humble approach towards those that value freedom over security. A Truly Humble Libertarian.

I am Barack Obama - Charisse Carney-Nunes

Moving quickly from the last story, I am doing some digging on this Charisse Carney-Nunes author and her Obama book. First stop, the website for the book itself. Upon entering the site you are greeted with the following message, I emphasize bold -

I found here as well that Charisse Carney-Nunes is part of the Jamestown Project, Senior VP of Programs to be precise. Here is the Jamestown mission statement -
