West Point Cadets Sleeping During Obama's Speech, Reading ''On Killing'' and "Kill Bin Laden"

by the Left Coast Rebel

I didn't get around to the 'sleeping cadet' videos, I'm a bit late but it is certainly funny:

I'm so glad they are reading those primers maybe they can pass them onto the commander in chief when they get done with them :)

Not so fast... "On Killing" sounds rather like a PC primer on the need to be nice, probably written by a dweeb who's never killed anything larger than a roach. Sure hope I'm wrong.

That is correct. It may be amuzing to giggle at a cadet apparently reading war novels, but "on Killing" is a study of human aversion to killing others in combat.

@ Jockey - I wouldn't hold my breath!

@ Ran - I think you may be right, note the comment below yours.

@ Century - I meant no ill will and thought that the pics were interesting. Sure you cannot assume the same for the "Kill Bin Laden" book though?

LCR,

Killing bin Laden is about how the Bush administration skipped it's chance to kill bin Laden at Tora Bora. So it's a pretty good primer on what not to do, you're right.

Poor guys. I wonder how many demerits they'll get? Besides listening to this arrogant and egotistic hot air speech, I heard Jon Scott on FOX say his son is at the Academy. They were seated 4 hours early, the room was hot and they were in dress uniforms - after a very hard days work.

Timothy,

Perhaps it also includes sections on Clinton turning down offers from Sudan and Yemen to capture Bin Laden, then.
