by the Left Coast Rebel
What a week for my site and politics in general. Everything, (obviously), culminated into yesterday's Banana-Republic, Statist-Saturday, Serfdom-Stump. Just in case anyone is wondering as well, the Left Coast Rebel had record visits yesterday. Based on the hate-trolls that left messages here, I was doing everything right. All if favor of a post for troll-isms without giving them the dignity of notoriety, say 'Aye'.
Frankly watching my fellow-Americans in 'D' Congress-Critter form throughout the day yesterday made me think:
How misguided and dangerously unrehearsed of basic economic principles many among us are. At least the 20% represented as a majority and the presidency. Can we even live in a country ruled by those that think governance at the barrel of a gun is American?
We have a lot of work to do. Here's just some of us that will do it:
The Other McCain. Stacy and Smitty simply work harder than anyone in the blogosphere and it shows. How do they do it? Well, for one, I know that Stacy runs on nicotine, caffeine and other 'ines.' He checked it last night about the HR 3962 vote:
Precisely. TOM is to be commended on massive strides of doing the grassroots-report and underground work necessary to win. His work with the Hoffman camp in NY-23 was simply the best. The right blogosphere is a tight little network, the deeper that one digs into said network, the more you will find that Stacy McCain has the resounding respect of many. Thank you for all of the hard work - you're something else!"Reform" is one of those glittering generalities (like "democracy" and "rights") that politicians are afraid to be against. Being "anti-reform" is sort of like being anti-Girl Scouts. With passage of the House bill, proponents of this measure have forfeited the
glittering-generality advantage. The specifics of this massive legislation will likely prove its undoing.
Now I bring you to Just a Conservative Girl or JACG for short. JACG this week went out of her way in citizen activism in every way possible. She sponsored a Bachmann Capitol march attendee in my stay. She emailed and prodded, she walked the Capitol more than once this week. If 1/2 of us did 1/2 of the work that she does, we would have this thing done. Instead of sitting around complaining, take her lead as an example. She has my jealousy in her little back and forth with Senator Lindsey Grahamnesty too. Contact her through her blog!
RightKlik. RK had a great week, making his first consistent showing on the news aggregate site Memeorandum. He is also one that puts his mouth where his money is re: activism. He puts up consistent quality material and also puts in the hard work behind the scenes. He has a way of aggregating the most important themes of issues of the day into an easy to read format. Keep it up RK!
MAinfo. Fellow Californian Opus is a hard worker. I appreciate her activism too. I'm jealous that she met Tom McClintock recently. She is a big Twitter'er and productive on pressuring reps. This week was no exception. Go to her site for consistent content and activism when it is needed. The Dems make me sick too, don't lose heart Opus, I value your friendship.
New Conservative Generation. C-Gen is one of the first people that I met when I started my site. While he doesn't put up mountains of material, when he does it is a real treat. He hits economic topics particularly well - that is his schooling. He also knows how to help in the grassroots department, recently he was part of the NY-29 Blog Conference Call. Check out the new cartoon spinoff of his site too, more to come!
Reaganite Republican. Although James is thousands of miles away, he has a clear idea of what America should stand for. His background in Reagan-thought is what is needed today to bring back the essence of the GOP. A consistent voice against the statism that we see today.
Another Black Conservative. And not just any ordinary Black Conservative but one that is going to make an appearance on Friday the 13th on the Glenn Beck Show. A spooky day for liberals and an omen of bad fortune to come. Cliff is a constant source of information and inspiration. Check out his radio appearance this week to see just how neat a guy he is. His content and his site gets better in strides. A consistent voice for our side. We need 10,000 more just like him. Thank you for all of the help Cliff.
The Humble Libertarian. I am eternally grateful to Wes for all of the help he put forth with my site. An incredibly young man with a bright future for himself personally and for liberty. Be sure to make his site a frequent stop. I could see him being a Cato-guy one day.
Войска ПВО. Never one to bore Boncka's stuff keeps getting better. I appreciate the kind words that he has expressed for my site. I also appreciate that he resides in the land of nuts and fruits, the Formerly Golden State. An up and coming star in the blogosppere. Thank you for the Cao post usage as well.
Chris W at My Thoughts on Freedom. MTOF is hitting it's stride. As I relayed in a note to Chris, his content and feel is superb; a central focus on the things that matter the most. That being Don't Tread on Me, the Federal Reserve, Libertarian-Republican Ethics, the Pauls and many others. Definitely a friend to my site and a friend in the battle. Keep it up!
KOOK's Manifesto. I met KOOK when I first started blogging, in fact even before I had a site. Recently he has ratcheted up the site a bit and seems to be hitting harder in a format similiar to his American Exceptionalism series. I like what he is doing and commend him as part of the real Team America. Isn't this precisely how you feel right now? Way to go KOOK, let's get this thing done.
I'm closing with the Goomba News Network. Always a great source of interesting content and take, bridled with activism that counts; Nickie and team are a big part of success for us coming up. Did anyone here know that Nickie was a professional musician? Ask him about it.
Email me this evening at leftcoastrebel at gmail.com if you want your site mentioned and if I didn't get to you!
Heading off to church......

"You must be for reform" just as you must "support the troops". In other words, it's someone saying you must agree with my policies.
This overhaul increases the need for reform. My hope is people find ways around it, and it's not as bad as it seems now. I never believed the stuff about it being the end of capitaism or any of that hyperbole. I do think it's a step in the direction of increased complexity, increased hard-to-cut spending, and it possibly could slow down healthcare innovation. So except for the parts that tax all of us to help the poor pay their bills, it's a solid step in the wrong direction.
Thanks for the plug. I am telling you, I am really tired today after the week I had.
I am glad we are getting a bit of break this week.
I need the sleep!!!
@ CJ - I do think it's a step in the direction of increased complexity, increased hard-to-cut spending, and it possibly could slow down healthcare innovation
I couldn't agree more!
@ Consgirl - I am tired too, we did well. We will put the nail in the coffin of obamacare when it hits the Senate. Keep up the great work!
I agree completely with your comments about Another Black Conservative. I found your blog from a comment you made on his blog recently. I listened to his radioblog interview and he is a great representative for our side.
I also admire the ability of both you and Clifton to rise about the gutter talk often coming from the other side. We are better than them in ideology, manners, and morality. We will win in the end. Thanks for the hard work you put into your blog. God bless.
@ MAB - Thank you for reading my stuff here. Cliff is my best friend in the blogosphere and as you say here is a great ally in our cause. Thank you for noting the hard work here and hope to see you here often!
psssst, shhhh don't tell the girl scouts, but I am anti-girl scout now...I just discovered they are pumping money into Planned Parenthood....
I will of course leave it to your discretion if this is a comment you want posted or wish to use in the future, I heard this on the radio over the weekend between coverage of the terrorist massacre in Texas.
check it out...

"The Boycott List (see above) includes a section called Dishonorable Mention, which lists seemingly innocuous nonprofit organizations that are involved with Planned Parenthood or otherwise active in the Culture of Death. Among the groups included are Outward Bound West, American Automobile Association (AAA), Kaiser Permanente, The Salvation Army, American Cancer Society, Dr. Phil Foundation, American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), Camp Fire, Girl Scouts, Kiwanis Club, Rotary International, March of Dimes, Lions Club, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, American Diabetes Association, and the Young Womens Christian Association (YWCA). Involvement ranges from donating funds to pro-abortion groups (or allowing affiliates to do so), supporting anti-life causes, allowing pro-abortion groups access to membership, adopting an official pro-abortion policy position, and so forth."
Thanks so much for the linkage. :-D
