  1. Look's great. Easier to read; quicker to load.

  2. Ditto on the load time. Looks good, very clean.

  3. It does seem to load faster, but do you honestly think California is the only Left Coast State," as evidenced by your CA logo? Just kidding with you, man.

Personally, I prefer the old heading, but putting links, Causes, and About on separate pages is a smart idea.

  4. @ Bob, Inno, Rightguy, Soloman - Thank you, the load time was something that I wasn't 100% aware of....I am working from a pretty powerful 2x LCD pentium V with a fast connection.

@ William - No I don't, LOL. Thanks for the feedback.

  5. It loads way faster, which is nice and looks good. I'm with William because I'm from Washington. LOL. JK.
But it looks good. I also like that the page itself is shorter because you moved some of the info to their own pages.

  6. It is clean and simple. I like it.

  7. Fresh! And I think getting a lot of links off of the front page quickens up the load time. I will miss that pic of you at the ocean, though. Very special.

  8. Yeah, he forgot Oregon and Washington. Does Mexico count?

  9. @ Hillary - Thank you! In all honesty I am completely aware that I am unfortunately not the only 'left-coaster' that resides in the land of the nuts and fruits. It is all of us in CA, WA and OR....

@ Stogie - Thank you fellow Left Coast(er).

@ Opus - Thank you, maybe I can incorporate the ocean pic into the scheme, hmmm.

  10. @ Rightguy - You commented precisely when I replied to Hillary above. WA and OR may even beat CA for sheer urban-dense nuts and fruits....

  11. @ Rightguy - Also, why should Mexico count when Mexico has come to CA and IS CA, been to L.A. in the last few years? It is not a pretty site, it looks like a 3rd world country. Welcome to the future under the Obamanation.

  12. I forgot about BC. They're pretty fruity up there too.

  13. @ Rightguy - Correction: sight. Boy oh boy Canada is liberal too. I went to Montreal a couple years ago.

  14. this looks really streamlined and fresh! I did like the heading picture though.....gotta love the WEST coast for the beauty

being landlocked here STINKS, but then again......earthquakes are rare, though we have them.

all in all, GREAT JOB to you and Wes...I like the minimal color scheme

  17. Man, this sucker is lightning fast. Good layout. Wow!!

  18. @ Nickie - Thank you, I noticed that my page views rocketed today right after the change, I guess that Wes was right, content load time is a big deal on a site like mine.....

  19. Totally love the new look and heck yeah, it is faster to load! You are going places LCR!

  20. I can't tell you how many times I stop trying to read sites like "Atlas Shrugs," "Townhall," and others, simply because they take so long to load. I tried different Operating Systems, different browsers, to no avail. Whatever you did, is the right move, Tim.

  21. @ William - Thank you for that. Funny that you would mention Atlas, I don't frequent the site for that specific reason!

  22. Looks great and runs fast. I'm from WA too....But logos are logos. But why is it depicted as a 'red' state? Is that just a dream?

    ReplyDelete
  23. @ Lynnae - Thanks. No, it's not a dream, it's a distant memory, Reagan after all resided over the state, not so long ago :(

  24. Clean, fast, with the same great commentary.

I kinda miss the ocean as well.

  25. Very nice and clean, dude! Not so busy that the reader gets distracted from the post. Muy excellente!

  26. LCR, I think it looks great. The California graphic looks a little messy but I think it makes a point. Things are indeed a mess over there.

  27. Your graphics seem dirty and fuzzy. I think they should stand out and be sharp. You’re a sharp guy, you want your graphics to portray that.

  28. @ Les, Blackandgold,lyzar - Thank you!

@ BB - I'll take that into account. Is there anything else that catches your eye?

  29. Looks great and it is fast! Keep writing!

  30. I think I would like it better if it was clear and the image of California was upside down. Like you are turning the political image of California upside down.

  31. I liked the old banner at the top it was cool. I can get used to anything but socialism and vegan-ism LOL!
