Rasmussen today coming out with data showing that uber-RINO John McCain may be facing a tough primary battle for 2010. Are you surprised. The potential challenger in his craw being former Arizona congressman J.D. Hayworth. Which is of course exciting but somewhat muted on my part because I don't know Hayworth's credentials. If and when I find him to be a conservative I can trust, sign me up! From Rasmussen today:
The fact that McCain is tied with Hayworth is quite amazing, being that Hayworth hasn't even confirmed nor denied that he is running. However, I noted in bold that Minuteman founder Simcox also is getting 4%, what happens if this group bolts to Hayworth? McClame, McCamnesty, McRINO may lose the primary! Once again as I said, I am not fully aware of or familiar with Hayworth.Senator John McCain’s future in the U.S. Senate may be a little less assured than previously thought. A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely 2010 Republican Primary voters in Arizona finds the longtime incumbent in a virtual tie with potential challenger J.D. Hayworth. McCain earns 45% of the vote, while Hayworth picks up 43%.
Former Minuteman leader Chris Simcox gets four percent (4%)support, while two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate and seven percent (7%) are undecided.
