Coming right off the previous post re: the Stossel invitation, particularly how in the heck they got my email; I received an answer to my query. Back up, did I not mention that I contacted the studio-person that contacted me, thanked him/her for the invitation and inquisitively prodded as to how they had my personal email. Hmmm?
Well, the answer hearkens to a Stossel-fanboy dream, (of which I am just a tad), here's the exchange ---
LCR ---I regretfully cannot attend due to financial reasons, the travel cost would be too high as I reside in CA. I appreciate the invitation though! Just curious, how did you find me and know that I would be a good fit for his show?
Stossel Staff --- You sent John Stossel an encouraging e-mail at one time, and he has faithfully kept track of (and appreciated) his supporters over the years!
The reply wasn't quite 100% accurate as I have sent him much more than one email but it just goes to show that Stossel knows how to handle his 'base'. Cool huh? Here's the email:
