Barack Obama once again called on his former rival to help him follow through.
Former President Bill Clinton told a room full of Democratic senators Tuesday that passing health care reform — which he failed to do 15 years ago — is not only a moral issue but also “an economic imperative.” (as in bankrupting the nation, right?)
Clinton said he told the senators. “I think it is good politics to pass this and to pass this as soon as they can. But I think the most important thing is it is the right thing for America. The worst thing to do is nothing.”
Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) said Clinton described the ongoing tea party protests against the Democratic agenda as a sign their party was making progress.Whitehouse quoted Clinton arguing: "The reason the tea-baggers are so inflamed is because we are winning."
Bill Clinton: Winning and Teabaggers; Room to Talk?
by the Left Coast Rebel
I've never written about Bill Clinton here at the Left Coast Rebel. Can you believe that? Obviously the man has receded into the nether regions of promiscuity and privacy, only to be heard from publicly, seldomly. Today's showing though, proves to me that he watches Olbermann on MSNBC. Here's why:
A derogatory term for concerned citizens, (like me), from a derogatory deviant ex-Pres. Fitting? You tell me. Like I said it proves that he watches MSNBC as well. And since this is the first time that I have mentioned Bill here, and since he used a derogatory term for my friends and allies; take a look at this. Warning, (sexual content), go to the Starr Report, go to this page and find item # 209. Not quite 'teabagging' huh?
Actually quite worse.

Never underestimate Bubba Clinton. The proverbial Pragmatist with star power.
ReplyDeleteBubba knew how to win and was reelected with ease. Lets hope the Bubanator is not listened to by the Omamanator or we may be stuck with Obamaination for 8 years as well.
Spin, spin & more spin. The Dems are sensing a leak in the boat. They're gonna shove through the ObamaCare bill as quickly as they can.
ReplyDeleteGood little puppet Bill. How does it feel being an ex-Prez and Obama's Beyotch. Have you noticed everything Obama and Clinton talk about always goes back to their self-centered egos?
ReplyDelete@ Les - Indeed, we can hope for the country that doesn't happen, the difference with Bubba is that we had divided government that contained the damage.
ReplyDelete@ Nickie - Yup, should we expect any less?
@ BB - Peas of a pod if there ever was!
Oh, this is so-o-o-o sad. This cholesterol-saturated First Trailer Trash POTUS has stooped to using the liberal codeword to describe the conservative opposition to the POSOTUS.
ReplyDelete*sigh*
Well, I guess turnabout is fair play. After all, we hurl similar invectives at Obama. But, to be fair, they are not the sexual double entendre uttered by sniggering juveniles. I wonder when they will realize that each time this is uttered, it only serves to enrage. One hopes that the dialog remains shrill right up til November of next year.
But, on the other hand, old semen-stain isn't ploughing new ground when he speaks thusly. I mean, he has taken a refreshing dip in this cesspool before. In fact, if descriptions of his cavorting with the porkulesque intern are true, it might be argued that the bulbous-nosed one is, in fact, a teabagee.
Hey Bubba, any dry cleaning I can drop off for you?
Sure, listen to Clinton...he knows how to lose a health care debate.
ReplyDeleteClinton only had success when he triangulated to the center. Wonder if they'll learn from that lesson?
If the Dems do win this one, it won't be because they are smart or strong, but because the GOP is stupid and weak.
Perhaps Slick Willie should remember what happened to his party when they failed 15 years ago to pass health care. Oh yes, they lost both the house and senate. . .BADLY! No wonder he wants it passed FAST. Also, the Repubs put up Bob Dole against Slick Willie. Dole couldn't make out a complete sentence or had verbal Deslexia. Whatever, we had a verbal moron against slick Willie. I don't think the Repubs (with Steel as head who knows) are going to make that mistake again after McShame.
ReplyDelete@ Boncka - if descriptions of his cavorting with the porkulesque intern are true, it might be argued that the bulbous-nosed one is, in fact, a teabagee.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautifully quotable!
@ RK - I agree.
@ Madmath - Agree here too, Steel as chairman though....ruh-roh!
Bill Clinton another President who never served in the American Military.

The reason he is talking about "teabaggers" is he has the scoreboard reversed. We are winning. Since Kennedy died, the Senate has not taken up major legislation. Opposition candidates won almost every elections in this years elections, especially at local levels which are usually won by Dems. Of the 3 big races, they won one by default, but if you count the votes in that one, more votes went for either the Republican or the "Conservative" than the Donkey. AND there is going to be a Republican Governor in NEW JERSEY! I bet behind closed doors, Clinton or Obama or Pelosi and especially Approval 25% Reid did not like last weeks election outcomes, especially where Obama campaigned so hard and was not helpful.
