A flurry of health care news today, as was expected the Senate Finance Committee is voting on the Baucus plan today. The big news of the day is that RINO Olympia Snowe is on board the Baucus plan. Her cave-in, although not surprising gives the Dems the MSM talking point of "bipartisanship." Who does this surprise? I just received an email from a reader that is a health care expert, he knows the ins and outs of the industry and the legislation being debate to a 'T', it's his job.
The message from him? This looks bad.
Which frankly just makes me wonder, what the hell can we do?
Malkin has a good list of updates , the most current being @ 2:54 ET, the Senate Finance Cmte vote came down to 14-9. Frankly for me, and I am sure for many of you; this effort proves overwhelmingly that the Congress could care less about our opinions and fears of Obamacare and come hell or high-water they plan on getting this done. It's all about power and this is the grand prize.
The key now is to find an action plan to apply the most pressure possible to Congress and stop this thing through the other stages that it has to go through. Email me, comment here, help me get together a list.

I'm fresh outta ideas. Please don't think me a violent person (I'm truly not) but I do fear the only thing that will work is to make these lawmakers afraid of us. I think that even our RINO Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) is going to betray us. I've written him and said VOTE NO ON OBAMACARE, etc. but he won't listen. Please tell us what else we can do?
ReplyDeleteI see from your link to M/M that during 2008 Landrieu (a democrat) voted conservative 32% of the time while Snowe voted conservative a staggering 12%, yes, that's right TWELVE PERCENT of the time. She's a moderate democrat in practice. If you happen to read this Michael Steele: Kick the *itch out of the Party!
ReplyDeleteThis is a terrible day for the Republic. If it is a republic any more. :-(
ReplyDeleteSomeone at Moonbattery, said Snowe looks like Shemp. Not only does she look like a stooge, she acts like one. That is, a stooge to the Social Democrat Party.
ReplyDelete@ Sparky - I am too and totally disgusted, stay posted for an action alert, this thing's not over.
ReplyDelete@ Libertarian Adv - She should be out of the party. It boggles the mind that the National party supports folks like this.
@ Opus - It is terrible but not the end friend, we can still get this done!
@ Will - Or is that a Stooge for the Social Democrap Party?
Opus #6 You have a terrific blog. I don't often do this so quickly when I find a new blog, but you're going onto my blogroll now.
ReplyDeleteAny Republican who votes for O-care has no business in the GOP. They certainly don't belong on important committees. If the GOP can't figure that out PDQ, they'll lose any chance of getting any support from me.
