Lindsey Graham - 'Just Say No to Angry White Guys', Ron Paul

by the Left Coast Rebel

I have no patience today, I'm grumpy, I am torn up over the Baucus-Obamacare vote, I am enraged over RINOs, (read Snowe), I have a headache and I need a drink. I'm only human after all. That's why this story has more relevance to me today than usual.

Picture this, Lindsey Grahamnesty, town hall in Greenville SC, 9-12ers filling the seats, (***gasp***), even some libertarians. It was a rowdy crowd, fans of Grahmnesty were probably hard to come by. Criticism was flying; that he and the party had abandoned conservative principles. Sticking to his guns Grahamnesty stuck to the unceasingly successful model that catapaulted his bud John McAmnesty to the White House -

"I'm not going to leave the Republican Party, I'm going to grow it. We're not going to be the party of angry white guys."
"I love this party, I'm not going to be let it be hijacked by Ron Paul."
"
I'm going to find people in Maine, Delaware, Illinois and other places that can win, and I'm going to help them, and we're going to move this party and this country forward. If you don't like it, you can leave."

There you have it I will leave then, thank you for spelling it out.

No RINOs in 2010, if you need, I'll even fill the tank for you......

UPDATE: This morning I am reading a great smear on the attendees of Graham's town hall @ The State out of SC. From The State -
Graham repeatedly told those who shouted to "chill out," and addressed most
of the hot-button issues that have rankled some in the state's conservative
epicenter, including an op-ed column he co-authored this week with Democratic Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, which called for climate change legislation.
(in other words, cap and tax, which he supports)

One man told Graham he had "betrayed" conservatism and made a "pact with
the devil" by working with Democrats, and asked when Graham would switch parties.
(the sooner the better)

Graham said he's not going anywhere and instead would grow the party,
defending his conservative credentials on such issues as abortion and guns, and
calling the view of Libertarians who believe President Bush was a war criminal "nuts."
(the fringe you mean? thanks for the broad brush)

A woman who had been carrying a sign that condemned "unconstitutional,
anti-Christ, socialist, federal, deficit-spending programs" told Graham "God
does not compromise" and that he had violated his oath of office by supporting
federal ideas, including health care reform that overstep states' rights.
(scores of peaceful people and the press points to this)

Graham rejected the idea that the federal government should stay out of
health care, saying few people want to get rid of Social Security and Medicare,
and he defended his Christianity.
(need I say anything?)

Surprising that the report goes straight to a woman with a sign that says 'anti-christ' among other thing on it?

Sorry about the headache. This carp going on gives one an ongoing massive headache.

I'll have to skip the drink, though. No sense in blowing 19 good years in AA for a bunch of disgusting politicians...

@ Adrienne - Thanks for the condolence! I think I'll have a few cold Newcastles tonight. At least I got the opportunity to make fun of Graham here....

Well, that certainly makes it clear. Tear off his f**king epaulets, and toss him to the sharks. The RINOS are no more than traitorous suede-shoed Democrat jock-sniffers. We need representatives ready to rumble.

Heard about a great 60's bumper sticker the other day: "The Majority Is Not Silent; the government is DEAF"

The last time I registered "Republican," Bob Dole and the GOP became my new friends. They were always at my mailbox with a steady barrage of pamphlets and flyers reminding me of the importance of my monetary contributions to help fight "out-of-control spending" in Washington D.C. Huh? What a joke.

@Libertarian Advocate: That is a great sticker.
Does anyone know where I'd be able to find one of those now? :-D

Hi LC Rebel, great post. These RINO's must go. I have a headache too. This whole day was disgusting. I'll have to wait until friday for my drink. If I do it during the week, I can't tolerate the twits at work.

LCR,
Hang in there; we need your voice more than ever.

We have voiced our opinion. We have stood up for principles. We will hold those who did not vote with the citizens of our great nation accountable for their votes. We will seek out candidates irregardless of political party to replace those who would take away our health freedoms. We will donate funds directly to candidates who will support us. We will constantly raise our voice against tyranny and teach our children correct principles.

We are NOT defeated for we will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, give up. We will stop at nothing but liberty or death. These famous words echo in our minds:

The Battle in the Finance Committee is over. I expect that the Battle of Congress is about to begin. Upon this battle depends the survival of Christian civilization. Upon it depends our own American life, and the long continuity of our institutions and our Nation. The whole fury and might of the enemy must very soon be turned on us. Obama knows that he will have to break us Conservatives, Libertarians, and 9/12ers or lose the war. If we can stand up to him, all America may be freed and the life of the world may move forward into broad, sunlit uplands. But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science. Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves, that if America and her glorious States last for a thousand years, men will still say, "This was their finest hour."

Now let us go and take up arms of blogging, youtubbing, tweeting, calling, teaching, writing, and protesting and free our children from an oppressive government which mocks our Constitution. Let it be said of us that this was OUR finest hour and may the God of heaven look down upon us with mercy and help us defend our freedoms.

What you said, pretty much. I wonder if they noticed my tail lights as I headed out, or yours. At some point, they will realize they are all alone. Just remind them, that if they are going to be true Dem's in Republican clothing, they need to turn out the lights when they leave... you know, save that precious electricity. They certainly lost it with us, already, anyway.

I'm with Nickie Goomba on this answer (sans the "F" word). :) We need to collectively fire all RINO's and Dem's next election. It's our only hope, as far as I can see.

Now it's up to the good folks of South Carolina to toss this twit next election time. Golfmage is right on about Republican party propaganda, "send us money so we can stop wasteful federal spending".....and other fairy tales.

He defends his Christianity like the Pharisees defended their Juduamism, by their empowerment with the government. One group was met with condemnation and a few decades later, complete annihiliation. Will history repeat itself?

Tim, check out Dr Paul's response on my blog [shameless plug]. He actually seems amused by Graham's comments.
