Gaddafi, Obama, First Speech to the United Nations

by the Left Coast Rebel

First off go here for the entire transcript and Youtube video split-up of Gaddif's speech.
Immediately after the Obamanation UN speech, despot Muammar Gaddafi erratically recanted anti-American jib-jab, (and spoke longer than the Obamanation), from hand-scribbled notes in front of the General Assembly. He made the case better than I ever could for getting the US out of the UN. How are miscreants like Gaddafi, Ahmandenajihad et al. even allowed entry to our country? Giving murderous fool dictators airtime is inexcusable. This is not a Republican or Democrat issue, I want my country back. Here is the best rundown of his rant. The most telling things for me whilst watching Qadaffi's filibuster was that -

a). Most of his despotic talking points could have been taken from the pages of the New York Times, Moveon.org or a Michael Moore film, he also spoke longer than the Obamanation, what does that tell us?

b). He touted his own website, a must read, I mistook it for Think Progress.

c). Gaddafi's people are not livestock.

d). He is a Kennedy assassination conspiracy theorist.

e). He wants the UN headquarters to be in China, (wow, I agree).

f). He has genuine affection and love for the Obamanation check Kook's Manifesto for more on this. He wants the United Nations to practically adopt the Obamanation, called him "my son" repeatedly in reference to his African heritage.

So a wrap-up. In showing what the United Nations is all about, granting clemency and relativity to dictators, communists, despots and terrorists; terrorist Gaddafi filibusters the Assembly for 1 1/2 hours, eclipsing the Obamanation speech length and directly preceding him. Click here for the whole video of his rant.

I am tired, therefore I will not overly-dissect the Obamanation speech. It was flowery, it walked both sides, (freedom and collectivism), America has sinned being a central theme, (shocker). Another theme being, (of course), 'Can't we all just get along' and such.

Here are a few excerpts from his speech -

....determined to act boldly and collectively on behalf of justice and prosperity at home and abroad. (Collectively? Funny how that isn't even a bad word, especially in front of this body.)

But it is my deeply held belief that in the year 2009 – more than at
any point in human history – the interests of nations and peoples are
shared.
(Gaddafi? Ahmadenajihad? Chavez?)

This body was founded on the belief that the nations of the world could
solve their problems together.
(Utter nonsense, half the world will always
hate us because we are free, or at least used to be,maybe he's onto something.)

He then goes on to call for unilateral disarmament, etc. and calls to re-invigorate the UN, globalism and One World, New World Order-sounding rhetoric. And oh yah, global warming is the biggest threat to mankind, blah, blah, blah. Funny how the despots and communists line up behind this 100%

Frankly, much of this could have come from the mouth of Bush as well. The full transcript is here if you care. Frankly I think that this story via. Memeorandum in the Telegraph nails it and explains why the UN loves Obama - hint, it's because he is uncontrollably weak.

  5. I didn't watch any of the clips. I just note the things you didn't like about Obama's speech:
Flowery – This is about style, not content.
Freedom and collectivism – This is the struggle of all free societies larger than a small tribe of hunter-gatherers. We’re always trying to maximize freedom and still live in high population densities.
Can’t we all just get along? – We should be trying to get along.
He used the word collective. – Who cares?
The interests of the peoples of the world are shared. – This is simply a fact. The portion of the world economy associated with information /technology has grown rapidly. At the same time, technology allows information to be sent quickly and cheaply. Barriers to trade and investment are going down. If we’re investing in global businesses, the spoils of war aren’t there as they were when the means of production were separated by geography.
The world will always hate us b/c we’re free. – I’m thinking this is some kind of sarcasm b/c nothing else you say is this stupid. And any statement along the lines of “people will always hate me b/c I’m so good” is asinine.
Global warming is the biggest threat to human kind – If he said this, this is hyperbole. We can deal with the effects of global warming, but it won’t be cheap or easy.

  6. Don't you guys get it? It's not the environment or the global warming or the collectivism or our "freedom" that others hate, or the peace and security, or the competition between nations. All these bad things would not be so dangerous, if we were not making love so often. It's the over-population, stupid! These guys are just trying to find a solution-impossible. The only solution is a global war - what I believe some of them are deliberately plotting. That's why there is a demand on professional actors who become amateur politicians. What a farse!
