AARP Town Hall Protest - Senior Citizens Standing Up

Wow, note once again the condescension, this time from an AARP staffer spokeswoman. Senior citizens are waking up to the downside of the health care proposals and apparently are now in a majority against.

Investor's Business Daily today -

"Slightly more than half of Americans disapprove of Pres. Obama's handling of medical insurance, according to a Quinnipiac Univ. poll, while a CNN-Opinion Research survey found that 45%, and a majority of those over age 50, oppose his plans to overhaul the medical system. Obama vowed to push through his medical plan by year's end, with or without GOP support.

Amazing to me that the senior crowd, no enemy of the entitlement system; may be the final nail in the coffin of socialized medicine.

  1. Apparantly, health insurance protesters are all old people. Maybe it's easier to bus them in. Thanks for the news LCR!

  2. You know Rebel, I don't remember in my life where Americans are so fired up against the government. If the government continues to deny the people they soon might face the revolution. The disrepect and arrogance towards the citizens of the United States just blows me away.

I know this woman isn't part of the government, but they are government advocates. They are puppets.

I love the Danny Glover comment.

  3. In all actuality the Dems are doing America a favor by continuing to bloviate and parade themselves in the way that they are. It just proves the rest of us on the right, 'right'. Shame on AARP for shunning it's base. Shame on them. I'm sure there are a lot of requests for relinquishment of membership being processed in the days since this meeting. It's just deplorable what is trying to be done in the name of "our common good" by the thugs in charge.

  4. LCR, I have said the same thing as BB for several years now. This road ends in one of two ways...3rd party or revolution. Events in Missouri yesterday where a guy just trying to make a buck selling "don't tread on me" t-shirts was jumped by a bunch of ACORN thugs will not lead to a 3rd party option.

  5. @ Cgen - Indeed, great point.

@ BungBill - Me too Bill, it gives me great hope.

@ Red - They are, I want them to keep flapping their lips, showing their true colors.

@ Andrew - We need a real, conservative, constitutional party that can win.
