I believe all 3 programs should be cancelled. Yes I think the F22 should be cancelled. See at thesame time the F22 was developed, another similar plane was also developed which is the F 35. The F 35 is a multi role, carrier based STOVL (vertical take off and landing in one configuration) Fighter that delivers 95% of the F22's capabilities for half the price. The F35 is also designed with room for future enhancements or changes in planned usage. The F35 will be usable by our entire military, can be carrier based and can be sold to other countries minus the technology we don't want to give away and it uses far less fuel and costs half the price to build compared to the F22. As far as "bang for the buck" goes, the F35 is a far better investment than the F22. That is why John McCain who while I don't agree with him often, he is very pro-military and he also feels the money would be better served investing in further production and development of the F35.
Michael Ramirez has become the champion cartoonist of the conservative movement. His work is so precisely accurate and effective and funny at the same time. He is truly one of my heroes.
Well illustrated. Especially #3. I often say that Obama's first target, if he gets his NSF will be within his own party and that will be the Blue Dog Democrats.
As for the F35's, I've seen how those planes are build. Really good fighter and does everything for half the costs yet Obama cut the funding for that plane for this evil population control bill of health care.
Very good cartoons. What's sad is they are so factual! I'm beginning to think that I've been alive too long. [sigh] Our country just keeps sliding down.
BTW, if you haven't watched Glenn Beck tonight (28 July) might wanna make sure and do so when convenient. I'm trying to follow this APOLLO story (not the NASA one, the new evil one). All this corruption leads right to Obama.
It doesn't end with Apollo. Beck is bringing you along slowly, introducing you to all the players in the Obama-marxist machine. The "Bankrupt America" posts I wrote on KOOK's that LCR reposted here also filled in some of the dots connected to this picture that goes far above "Apollo." If you were to think of Apollo as a drug cartel, they would be a mid-level player. The thing is, with a story like this, you can't just go to the top without showing the whole picture underneath. if you do, it just sounds like a conspiracy theory. The problem here is this is a real conspiracy with intentions of hijacking our country.
Madmath, this is something I have kept to myself but your comment about Obama cutting F-35 production made me decide to come out and say it. It is my hope that Bush seeing the trends with the country and having a good idea of what would happen in the future may have reallocated alot of the spending that he signed into law and had it reallocated into military spending and had it put somewhere that a future pResident like Obama could not find it. President Eisenhower did the exact same thing and I believe Bush modeled his Presidency after Eisenhower's. Obama has already found a few covert projects that were happening under Bush and shut them down but I hope for the future of this nation that Bush did far more and hid it very well. If that is the case, I will change my mind about being against all the Bush spending. Remember after Eisenhower, Kennedy was elected and didn't know about half of what the military was doing. I know this is a long shot, but it leaves room for hope.
@ Andrew 33 - Great points, I don't think that Ramirez point was explicity in the merit of the cancellation of the F22, he simply is pointing to the absurdity of what they are arguing for.
@ Stogie - He really is.
@ Sparky - Just finished watching the show, I plan on putting it up here.

It’s rare that my first feedback isn’t hate mail from a disgruntled statist! You carry on too – we’ve got our work cut out for us." -Tad DeHaven, Cato Institute "Thanks so much for all YOU do for liberty and individual rights. I appreciate your strong voice for capitalism. Keep it up!" -Jonathan Hoenig, Fox News "Congrats Tim. You have arrived." -GatewayPundit "Before we sell California to China or go Lex Luther on the San Andreas Fault, let's be sure to save the Left Coast Rebel." -Barack Obama's Cousin, Milton R. Wolf, M.D.
"I like LCR because it seems like more thought goes into posts there than at many other blogs that focus more on horse-race politics." -Nate Nelson, DailyRadical.com
NICE!!!! I so would love to use that! I especially love that it shows just exactly who the "uninsured" are.
ReplyDeleteCartoon 1: All of them
ReplyDeleteCartoon 3: LOVE IT!
I love all the cartoons!!! They explain the state of Obamacare to a T.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the center cartoon
